He wasn't made with the racemenu slides, so there's no preset. He uses a custom head. The only way to make him as a playable race would be to make him a custom race, import his head, and a lot of other steps that are rather time consuming.
Although I won't rule out adding him as a playable race, just that, for now, I have a few things on the list of things to do first, like adding different hairstyles and a beard option. After those are done, I might look into making him playable.
Changelog
Version 1.1 - Made an error with packaging. Accidentally packaged the beta esp instead of the final version - if you have that one, download the new one.
Version 1.2 - One of his time sensitive dialogues wasn't being said at the right time, (the condition got reset somehow) Fixed.
Version 1.3 - Fixed the problem with Mod Organizer.
Version 1.4 - Few tweaks to dialogue.
Version 1.5 - Added Kaer Morhen armor.
Version 1.6 - Changed Kaer Morhen pauldron slot use. Now uses the amulet slot instead of slot 40, because the pauldrons kept disappearing. Also added new hairstyles and updated normal maps.
Its really tricky to get the color right in Skyrim with Geralts beard. Some adjustments might be made somewhere down the line but for now I think its fine.
i have only one question i have the latest version of this mod and the classic style of geralt yet he doesnt have the beard does anyone know how to enable or add the beard ?
Hi. I don't know if this issue has been addressed before but I am playing Skyrim with the Requiem mod. I had recently started a new game and all. But the problem is his face. For some reason, he looks like a buff version of a high elf instead of a custom head like your pics. His armor and everything else is perfect but his face is just not even close to Geralt's besides the eyes. Requiem's MCM also shows a warning regarding custom races when I reload my save in the Winking Skeever. Sorry, dont know if youve answered this before but please help in anyway you can,
any idea how to make him stand and wait for like forever?
I using EFF and can make any follower wait except Geralt. Well, he can wait like 1 day then he will went back home. I actually asking how to make him wait forever?
Super excited to see further changes from you and this mod! I started crying happily after it worked and I got Geralt to follow me around and kill a dragon with me. I'm super hopeful that you can implement the marriage quest/romance with him, although I can't imagine HOW much work that possibly is! Thank you so much for making this mod, and for fixing it Tracked and will be Endorsed when it lets me!
I downloaded this for Skyrim SE and he wont follow me, all I can say is "nice to meet you" and that's it, he wont follow me. Are there any requirements before he follows you, like do I have to be a certain level or something??? I just started playing Skyrim again and am pretty low level.
@jessesdrpepper same issue, but I'm level 81 so I doubt it's a level problem. Apparently he has issues with some follower frameworks like EFF, but also seen that people who uninstalled them still couldn't get him to follow. It's a shame :(
Dude you can make it playable by adding Geralt as an armor equipment which replaces the full player model to it. Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwfdirdfD5A&t=102s
If you have Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (RDO), disable it. I used TES5edit and saw that a lot of his dialogue gets overwritten because I think the mod author used J'zargo as a base to make Geralt, so his dialogue gets flagged and changed by RDO. I changed follower mods from EFF to UFO and it wasn't that, it was RDO. You can make a patch to use both but its easier to just disable it.
I too can't get him to follow. At first, he would ask for Witcher work, and when I said he could join me instead, he declined. So I moved him lower in my load order, after my follower mod, but that only broke him further: Now, I can't talk to him at all... Unless it's normal for that to happen after you finish that initial uneventful conversation. :( Still... If there are requirements to recruit him, I wish they were listed somewhere...
When I talk to him again, I can't even get a dialogue option of any kind. I can talk to him one more time and say "Nice to meet you". After that, if I try to talk to him, nothing happens, except he MIGHT say something and then walk away.
I moved his esp AND his data folder to the absolute bottom of my load order in mod organizer. That means it should be absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for anything to overwrite him, because esp, meshes, textures, scripts, everything, is loaded AFTER every other mod file I have. I was able to talk to him, but now he looks horrendous, as typically happens when something is overwriting a facegen, OR a specified headpart USED by a facegen is missing. But everything should be included...
If I put him in a 100% vanilla game (not even USLEEP or SkyUI or any basics), he works (and LOOKS) fine. But how can a mod given top priority act like it's being overwritten? This is extremely frustrating. :(
Also, looking through his files, it seems no matter WHAT hair variant you download, the mesh is ALWAYS the shaved ponytail. That can definitely ruin a facegen mesh in my experience, because unless you WANT the shaved ponytail, the game is looking for a different mesh than that... Yet somehow, it works in vanilla. I'm stumped.
Hey everyone so I've had Geralt loaded before in with my other followers but for some reason this time he wouldn't work in that area of my load order no matter where I put him my game wouldn't fully load it would just ctd and the times I have gotten him loaded in I haven't gotten him to follow me yet but this time for some reason I had to put him with my NPC group so just go figure plus I put inigo there above Geralt with a couple other things in between them and my game loaded fine with no crash thankfully

I know how to add physics to hair and I'm willing to do it for this mod, if you're still willing to make him a playable...
Are You There
