Thank you for your consideration and happy modding!
I went ahead and downloaded these even though I'm playing Skyrim SE AND YES I KNEW BETTER and of course as soon as I stepped foot in the Fort Kastav cell, the game CTD. I then ran all the meshes through SSE NIF Optimizer and reprocessed the textures with Octagon Textures Batch Tool to add some missing mipmaps. Boom Skyrim SE compatible and slightly vram friendlier.
Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (SRO) is now officially available - version 1.7 http://www.moddb.com/mods/skyrim-realistic-overhaul/downloads It is not compatible with Project Parallax Remastered anymore. Are you interested in supporting SRO?
People get butthurt so easily now. Their feelings get hurt so fast....over the internet... from complete strangers with no tone of voice or body language (85% of what you say is nonverbal)*sigh* it is pathetic. The entire race is doomed.
I just wanted to install this mod as I read that parallax is not supported in Special Edition anymore. So sad. I think I will install ol'rim this coming weekend. Keep up the great work !
Thanks Shutt3r! Great work on Noble as well. About 85% of the work in this mod to credited to you because it's all the more easier to make good parallax maps from good normal maps.
Yea sadly, I'm not sure if SE will get parallax like Oldrim has. ENB dev seems not so optimistic about it.
While I can agree that it can be of help, you still had to do them all by yourself, so all credits to you ! But thank you for the compliment. Regarding parallax for SE, if I'm right there's another way to have parallax which also works for SE, is that true ? If so, what would you have to do/update on Parallax Revived to make it work that way ? PM me if you prefer.
Hiya steveowashere. I seem to have run into a problem with the Statue of Talos in Windhelm where the statue shows up as black with this mod enabled. I was doing some research on how to fix it when I stumbled upon this thread in STEP about the cause being from Project Parallax Remastered and how it must have carried over to this mod. I just wanted to give you a head's up about it, although I wish I knew enough about nif shader properties to help fix the issue.
Just wanted to add to this report. Neovalen's SR:LE Guide lists to hide or delete these files from Project Parallax Revived (and listed the same files in the past for Project Parallax Remastered when the guide used SRO instead of Noble Skyrim):
meshes/architecture/solitude/sbluepalaceentrance.nif (Mesh issue causing see-through walls and odd effects.) meshes/architecture/windhelm/whdockdoortrim.nif (Mesh issue causing see-through walls and odd effects.) meshes/architecture/windhelm/whshorttower.nif (Mesh issue causing see-through walls and odd effects.) meshes/architecture/windhelm/whstatuetalos02.nif (Mesh issue causing black statue in Windhelm's temple of Talos.)
Thanks a lot for bringing this over for Noble Skyrim. :-) I wouldn't be using Noble Skyrim without it!
Thanks for letting my know... this wasn't an issue previously. Maybe the most recent ENB binaries are doing something different. I'll have to take a look at those files ore move them altogether if they can't be fixed.
Not too sure if my issue is related to this one or not. As I wasn't getting any issue with the statue, but the palace and some walls were disappearing at certain angles. I fixed the disappearing palace/walls with the optional file here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51495/?
Anyway, with the Noble skyrim patch installed, I'm CTD'ing in around Windhelm unless I hide these .nifs in MO(meshes/architecture/windhelm): - whpalace1 - whpalace2 - whpalace3 - whpalace4 - whpalace5 - whdocks1 - whdocks2. The other files listed by Nebulous, had no effect on my game. Just the ones I listed. If I don't hide/delete those Noble Skyrim patch files, I CTD without fail in and around Windhelm. Hopefully, when you get time, you can iron out the issue. BTW, I'm using Tetrachromatic ENB for NLVA V305. I haven't tried an earlier binary with this load order, so I can't say if it's the meshes or the binary that's at play here. I hope this info helps you, or someone else find a fix
I found another mesh that has parts of it coloured black. (wrbridgestone01.nif) This was in architecture\whiterun\wrterrain. I don't know anywhere else this mesh comes up in vanilla Skyrim but I did find it in the village mod Helsmyrr, as shown in the screenshot I took. Hiding the mesh in MO has made it look normal for me in-game. I just wanted to let you know about this as well.
Add: I had to hide all of the Windhelm parallax meshes in my game because I couldn't pinpoint what was crashing me outright. I did start turning off and on the textures one by one but it got too tedious to do. :\
Uploading an updated version that remove these meshes. I couldn't solve the issue for them, so I'll just remove them :/ Certain meshes with parallax don't play nice with everyone's set up it seems. Thanks for reporting these errors guys!
The problem with all the Windhelm meshes crashing me went away magically, I still don't know how it got fixed I fiddled around with MO until it worked again, I just forgot to get back to you afterwards. (Was probably too busy being happy about it going away.) Very sorry about that. I still removed some of the meshes people have posted as a preemptive measure.
