Hello everyone, I started working again on this mod as I managed to complete most of the voice act it required. If anyone of you found another bug please inform me before I publish the update so I can look and fix it in time.
Thanks again for taking your time to play and endorse this mod.
The update is finally here, for everyone wishing to play it being fully voiced etc. Thanks for supporting me throughout it's creation, this was the hardest of all the quest mods I've managed to complete. It two years to be honest.
Just finished the mod, and boy do I have quite a few things to say, both good and bad. So let's get the bad things out of the way first:
- I fully agree with everyone who says that starting the quest should be up to the player. Besides, something like picking up a magical item would make much more sense story-wise than randomly collapsing and having a random nightmare, imo - What about player characters that aren't Dragonborn? I'm sure many people roleplay as non-Dragonborn mercenaries/mages/hunters/farmers/etc., carefully avoiding the main quest. So, since being the Dragonborn is basically the sole reason the PC is summoned, maybe some main quest completion should be required to start the mod? - Maybe it's just a bug, but everyone kept referring to my female Dragonborn as "he" - Dead Patients drop standard horker loot, kinda ruins the atmosphere
Now on to the good things: - Best cutscenes I've seen in a Skyrim mod - The sheer creativity put into the monsters' and "nightmare" parts' visuals is extremely impressive, really enjoyed the latter - The entire Sanitary sequence up to the sewers is amazing, best part of the mod - Overall very well and obviously lovingly done
Definitely nice mod to play, feels like Silent Hill. There is only one texture error between the bodies and the heads, but it doesn't disturb. Also, if it hasn't been mentioned, the mod is NOT compatible with Alternative Start, because of the starting point being the prison. I recommend installing the mod and, if you use Alternative Start, deactivate The Dead Deed in order to overcome this bug. Once you have made your choice for the starting point in Skyrim, reactivate The Dead Deed and......have a good trip. Congratulations LordKarnak, I really liked this mod
: Finished recently your masterpiece, and man, this mod did worth the try. You probably have Silent Hill's Vibe in your veins judging by the way the dungeons were done.
Took around 6 hours to clear all and looking on all possible corners. The only thing I felt sad, taking aside the audio quality of the voice acting, was its replay value. At least some extra re-playable dungeons, after finishing all the quests, would have been a good idea as a form of Dragonborn to contain the nightmare in Skyrim or something.
I don't question the soundtracks nor the mod's difficulty, even playing on Legendary was fairly balanced. Honestly this was one of the few mods I didn't bothered dying sometimes specially influenced by the ambience and not the combat.
Wish there were more mods like that, and, for this one, specifically, more patches and fixes as I still saw things out of context. I found the body of Festus Krex in one of the prison cells, NPCs with some muted dialogue and non uniform audio equalisation, some NPCs without proper level cap and arrangement etc etc. This quite kills the immersion.
Aside from all this, I loved it, sadly this work was incredibly underrated.
I managed to complete the mod, got a couple of CTD's by the climax (fighting the Unholy Priest and while escaping WonderVille) and upon returning back to Riften, i got a whole lot of flickering on textures, fps drop and my main menu (when pressing Esc Key) options are not there anymore, it completely broke my game. Idk could be on my end. Unfortunately had to uninstall, 'twas a fun and new experience for a quest mod nonetheless.
Hey friends i love this mod ,need more your story horror like this, i already play this mod like Silent Hill game but this Silent hill Skyrim version XD,i already complete this story
