If anyone has ideas I am at a loss. I should be able to manage 64 npcs, but after 32 its saying "unable to manage". I've got AFT at the bottom of my load order, have tried the boost esp from the original page. I even tried with a new game and still unsolved.

I suspect a mod conflict, but have hundreds, I've tried unchecking any mods that enact overall changes for NPCs and still have the issue.

Your NO Dances Plugin is being read as "Russian Translation" in mod manager. I have tried three times, thinking I had downloaded the wrong thing. lol

I liked the idea of this mod but it borks followers from familiar faces. Shame but I had to remove and now Im left with a "tweak diagnostics" command in my followers dialogue options.

*Solved: After some tinkering I fixed it (would recommend find a small place to summon any followers you'd want to keep before trying):
Reset AFT - save - exit skyrim & disable AFT/ any related mods - go into skyrim and save again - use the "save tool" to clean scripts - load skyrim and save again (this is what I did you could in theory skip this step.) - exit skyrim and enable AFT (not the mcm one) - should work again.

Just adding this just incase anyone else needs it as this took some time to solve.

Hi ya All esteemed members of this awesomeness game
I'm starting to have a real problem as I had a while ago? which I fixed with a total reinstall which I don't think my sanity could cope with again so soon?I tried all the fix's I was recommend but My Followers are wondering off again? I ask them to follow me again when I find them. They say "lets go", then just wonder off into the sunset. Its starting to give me the hump!!

for some reason this mod even tho it requires the original mod and even tho I did the conflict resolution thing on vortex and continuously use loot over and over again this mod has decided to just not work due to and I quote " (mod conflict?) " and I have no clue why as of right now im trying to see if the original mod works but if anyone has any helpful insight it would be appreciated due to this be extremely aggravating

I am having several problems with this mod. First, I have two followers listed twice. Second, I have two followers listed as "standing by". When I speak to them, I am able to ask them to do only part of the follower dialog, and they will not follow me. I tried resetting them, and got a message "partial failure-follower not recognized by AFT". They were added by AFT a long time ago. Also, if I try to summon any follower, they do not come.
So I decided to do a complete reset of AFT using the feature in the menu, and my game CTD every time. I am capped at seven followers, not ten.
If I weren't bald, I would have pulled my hair out !

OUTFIT MANAGEMENT: After a week of frustration with the three (wilderness/dungeon, city, and home) outfits malfunctioning, I finally figured out how to mostly keep it from all getting screwed up:

    * Unlike with some custom companions (e.g. Vilja), the three outfit inventories are totally separate. You cannot share items between them. I.e., if you want your follower wearing an Imperial Light Cuirass in dungeons and in towns, you have to give the follower two of them.
    * However, they have to be different. If one outfit has one item, eventually any identical items in other outfits will stack with it in that one outfit. So, try different enchantments, or (better off) completely different items. I found that with things like rings and necklaces/amulets, that they'll stack even if you use a renamer mod to change their names; it's going off the BaseID. So, if you have a Fortify Carry Weight ring for your follower, create three of them using different base jewelry items, one for each outfit (e.g., use a Gold Ring, a Silver Ring, and Silver Garnet ring to create three Fortify Carry Weight rings). This has the benefit of raising your Enchant stats, though of course it costs additional items and soul gems, and it all adds to the carry weight. Since the mod is bugged in this regard, you may wish to simply increase the follower's carry-weight capacity with the Console or a mod, to compensate.
    * Consequently, it is not possible for your companion to bear torches, lockpicks, and identical potions in every outfit, long-term. After a few loadscreens, the items will all stack into one outfit. This can be worked around with mods that add variants of these things (e.g., a lantern mod can provide a different-ID light source, though it's anyone's guess if a follower will actually use any given mod item).
    * All the items for outfits other than the one being worn now are stored in the follower's Backpack. This feature should not be used directly by you except for having them carry extra stuff, like loot to sell off.
    * If you turn on the outfit options, you must never, ever use the normal option to share inventory. ONLY use the specific option (City Outfit, etc.) being worn by the follower at the moment.
    * If you turn on the outfit options, you must never, ever use the option to load up and mange a different outfit than the one the follower is currently using. Doing this will usually corrupt at least one of the outfits. If you do it by accident, stop and reload a previous save. If you want to manage a different outfit, such as the city outfit while follower is wearing the wilderness outfit, then you need to move to a city location and wait for the outfit to swap.
    * You can also corrupt outfits by taking stuff from the Backpack, working on it, and replacing it.
    * Because of this problem, you need to find and return to a wilderness site that has a grinding wheel and an armor workbench, in order to upgrade the follower's wilderness gear periodically. It should not be removed from and returned to anything but the current outfit.
    * The outfit swapping scripts are slow. You sometimes have to wait 30 sec. to a minute (probably less on a faster machine) for the outfits to swap out. Not all the time, mostly just when a cell is very busy and/or a bunch of other scripts are competing for time. I mostly get this problem in Whiterun and Riften.
    * Outfits eventually get corrupted anyway. The follower will show up naked or mostly naked in some situation and stay that way. You have two options: 1) Revert to an older save. Save again, quit the game app, restart it, load that save, and try re-entering the affected area. Or, 2) Access the follower's backpack, take all items that pertain to the corrupted outfit, then access that outfit in the menu (if it's the one they're supposed to be wearing right now, otherwise move to where they should be wearing it) and rebuild the outfit.

These issues also affect the original AFT and Immersive AFT (in either of its menu modes).

Or you can simply use the Combined Inventory of the original AFT and avoid all this.
