I just installed this mod in sse and it works. To note I just did this diy and know nothing, I just did some s#*! and hoped it works, im no modder. I just followed the same instruction as https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/48767 except for this mod.
simply: install storage container in sse vortex, open in file manager and extract the bsa with something like Bethesda archive extractor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974), delete the bsa. Then just deploy and it just works. now I didn't do anything else other than just finishing unbound and coc to riverwood in order to check if it's there at the inn cause I haven't finished modding my sse and just wanted to check, but for now it seems to be fine.
Having it installed for a few weeks now, I really like it! Paying a fee (say 5 Gold) when accessing the storage would be in order. As it is right now, it feels a bit too cheap and easy. Grazie Manny for all you do for Skyrim!
realistic room rental ups room rates cause 10 gold is nothing and way too cheap... storing your items should cost you daily maybe like 50 gold up front and 5 gold per day would be cool, then using this would not feel like cheating... you could even make it where if you dont pay your fee the innkeeper just keeps all your stuff and will sell it back you in the sale menu haha
i like the idea but I like to make things difficult for myself... can it be made so the innkeeper charges for this service? not updated since 2015 so i am not holding my breath lol
I managed to fix the problem of having no dialogue at the innkeepers when porting this to SSE.
Here's what you do: - Open the .esp in CK - Filter for manny - Double-click for manny's quest (one out of five records) - In this panel, go to the scripts tab - Select to add a script, give it the name "manny_storage_script" - Save - Start the game as usual
The problem was apparently that the script was not attached to the quest anymore in the esp. By adding this again, everything should work as it is supposed to. I briefly tested the functionality and it works so far to transport items between two different innkeepers.
And maybe you could make the dialogue a bit more polite towards the innkeeper while you convert it to SSE? "May I access my storage, please?" or similar... At least something that matches the rest of the dialogue options.
I know its extremely late, but the reason for this mod not working on S:SE is because its packed in a .bsa type that SSE doesn't support, you should unpack the .bsa archive and then install those unpacked files, also remove the .bsa file.
Hi MannyGT, I'm in love with some of your mods, this is one of them but like other people is saying how about a fee to unlock the storage in each inn and other to upgrade the ammount of weight in the storage. For example the container begins with a 50 limit, then, you pay x gold and the limit will be 75, then, X goldx2 and 100, then, X goldx3 and 125... Thanks for all your amazing work!! ^^
