Hi again, per our earlier private conversation, in order to satisfy the proof of permissions rules now required by beth.net going forward from March 12th, 2023:
I am publicly requesting your permission to include your Shepherd's Axe assets as a feature of my forthcoming mod on beth.net for XB console players.
Named NPCs which have Shepherd's Axes added to them don't have USKP/USLEEP fixes applied. Hunters are called "Lovec" regardless of player language settings. This also applies to Orc Hunters (Orksk Lovec) and Farmers (Statkao).
Personally verified in TES5Edit that it was this ESP causing it.
Bandits and Vampire Thralls and the like seem unaffected and still have the axe, it might be a good idea to remove them from named NPCs and simply add them to the existing levelled lists for hunters and farmers instead of giving them the item directly.
Also: I'd really like to see a whole set of variants based on the existing art for axes in each material class. Pale+Plain would be equivalent to a long bow (iron), Dark+Plain equivalent to a hunting bow (steel), Dark+Adorned for Imperial (advanced steel), then you start on the special materials. I'd LOVE to have an orcish shepherd's axe. It is my considered opinion that there would be no such weapon for Dwarven or Daedric materials, but those would be really cool anyway.
It seems that my language preferences got mixed up into CK and overwritted npc names. Weird. I'll fix it. Thank you for reporting and coming up with good solution and ideas.
So *that's* the mod that's doing that! I've had German words come into my games from German mods before, but couldn't imagine how Slovenian words got into my game (I can't even find "Statkao" on GoogleTranslate! ) I kind of enjoy it, actually, and incorporated Lovec into my games as a personal name (fem. Loveca or Lovecca, Breton Lovech.)
That actually made me smile. I did not expect my mistakes to be turned into character names. That's awesome. Sorry about it. Patch 1.11 should fix it and remove Lovecs and Statkaos from your game.
My favorite weapon in-game and my all-time favorite weapon mod...in fact, basically the *only* Skyrim weapon mod I use. Beautifully done! Damage about the same as a steel sword, btw, and a very fast weapon. A perfect poor man's/everyman's companion; also works well for me with primitive characters who don't use swords, etc. I really hope that one day it can be done for SSE too...it's too good to play without!
Thank you for your kind words. "All-time favorite" is quite achivement for me. And consider yourself lucky. Just a few days ago I was contacted by a member of Tarshana's mod team who wants to port it and will be hosting it on Bethesda.net. I will update mod description with link once he notifies my it's published.
Nice. This would fit perfectly for my next hunterborn playthrough.Of course now I have to choose between this or your other axe mod, declensions decisions
Aw heck, I'll do both.
One question though, does this work as a wood cutting axe or if it doesn't can you make it do so in the next updates if there is one?
My pleasure. It was actually really simple. So thank you for that idea. Sadly in animation for chopping is still the vanilla woodcutter's axe and I am not confident enough to start with changing animations. Maybe some time in future.
Really loving this axe, I had actually seen this thing in action a while back in one of Skallagrim's (a very nice youtuber) videos.
I only have one complaint, and it's really more of a request than a complaint, but if it wouldn't be too much work on your part could you upload a version with darker wood and without the dragon carving? Or perhaps have several variants of it be available for crafting, such as the original, light wood without carving, dark wood with carving, and dark wood without carving.
Regardless of all of that keep up the good work. Cheers

Thanks very much.

Well, like I said, I like it. It makes them seem more personalized and less generic.
Oh, and I think I'll add Valaska too.
Tell you what: if you want to feed me any more cool words to make names out of...
As for Statkao...well, I like it, but, erm...it has kind of unfortunate connections in English...farmer, cow...so not going there.

I am planning on update and more texture variants sounds good. So thanks.
