Huh ? I never have experienced this bug, even though i have played that quest line four ( ! ) times, from both perspective (as dawnguard and as vampire).

I am not sure, but i have UDGP. Maybe it has fixed my problem. If you have UDGP, but still experience this problem, then you have a mod of which the author did something (s)he shouldn't have done ...

I'm not surprised you never heard of it, I completed the DG questline more than a few times and only experienced it once. Like I said in the description it may be a mod conflict (I have all the unofficial patches)... at first I thought I was the only one with this problem but after searching around a couple of forums I came across more and more people experiencing this issue so I decided to share it with everyone in the Nexus.

@xoninho Great, now if only we could have a mod that fixes a gamebreaking bug at the beginning of the questline that, among other things, causes *insert name of the quest after Awakening that I forget here* not to start. Also causes her to constantly run to you and force you in a convo whose only option is "come with me" and even if you make it out with that pain in the ass, the aforementioned quest still won't start and she won't appear outside with you either, so you're screwed. I don't suppose you could make a mod to fix all that? (And no, it is not caused by any mod I have installed because I literally uninstalled every mod that could possibly cause this and it still happens, including but not limited to, amourous adventures, flower girls, relationship dialogue overhaul, extensible follower framework, serana dialogue edit, serana dialogue addon, etc etc etc.) Oh, and console commands don't work either, even though they should. Eff bugthesda. >:(

If all else fails, there is a guide for fixing broken quests: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=446371882

I tried doing that before I made this mod, it usually works but it didn't for this particular quest, it's worth a try though.

Hi, I'm not familiar with any serious bugs concerning the miraak quest, if you give me more details I can look into it.

I believe what the OP speaks of is the bug that occurs during the final battle with Miraak at the Summit of Apocrypha. If one is extremely high-level & manages to one-hit Miraak, the fight bugs out via Miraak becoming invulnerable when he attempts to refill his health via absorbing a dragon's soul. Another issue is the scene where Hermaeus Mora is supposed to gore Miraak with his tentacle, which fails due to Miraak clipping through the floor & getting stuck. I've had the aforementioned issues happen numerous times. The only workaround to date is to use mid-level/low level spells on Miraak or bash him with one's shield a few times before hitting him with one's weapon. Having followers around during the final Miraak fight also complicates things.

Wouldn't a fix for the first Miraak problem just have his health scale with the player?

Interesting, but I'm afraid I won't be doing anything to fix any of those two bugs, to be honest I have no idea how to change that kind of stuff (I could end up making it even worse) and there are simple ways to fix them using console commands and/or the workaround you mentioned. If Miraak falls into the ground, for example, you can just use the TCL command to loot his corpse.

Nope. Nope, and Nope. My bug was when you killed mirrak, he just stand there hovering in that tentacle he loves so much. And when i try to use console command's, the shrine never rise's. So i couldn't complete the quest line. Mind you this was over some time ago. But i don't want any skyrim modder's to go through what i went for that.

Do you have the unofficial skyrim patch? It usually fixes that kind of stuff.
