Before playing it, the only thing I can think of to change (based on the description) is to change the trapdoor to a boat. It wouldn't take much effort and would /greatly/ enhance the immersion.
I am playing on a pretty decent rig, and even the "crappy computer" version of this mod crashes my game quite frequently.
I haven't finished exploring, but the place is very beautiful. What I am trying to figure out is how to get up into the elven city in the clouds, as the stairways circling the tree trunk do not appear to go anywhere. I have Skyrim Bigger Trees: might that be the problem, in that it makes the tree trunks too wide?
Also, I can't even enter the Zoo without an instant CTD.
Nevertheless, I am going to endorse this mod because I want to encourage you to keep working on it.
I just tried v1.1 and there are still some of the same old problems. The ship to Falskaar still sticks partially into your dock. Also, in my game, the interior of Misthome is somehow incomplete. I just posted some screenshots for you to see what I am seeing. I will continue to report as I wander the island, but it would help if you would post somewhere what differences we should be looking for from v1.0
I spent a little time on the island, it looks really nice. Just a few observations:
1) This mod needs to be loaded BEFORE mods that change Dawnstar, like JK's Dawnstar or Enhanced Towns and Cities' Dawnstar, or it does nasty clipping to the last two houses before the ship dock.
2) The dock itself is compatible with ETaC and JK's Dawnstar, which is great.
3) When I got to the island, my followers wouldn't follow me, so I assume it's not navmeshed yet.
4) My world map for the island looks really weird. I can upload a screen shot if you like. I've got "A Quality World Map" installed, maybe that's conflicting?
Otherwise, as I said, it looks really nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it
just a couple odd findings. the nemiras rot mushrooms they arent static in mine meaning they move around and fall over when touched so first question is this not compatible with static meshes? second. came a across a bear that had a dragons roar and im level 30 and it killed me in one hit. im not using any monster enhanced mods so that was a big wtf? so second question is did you put that in or is that a possible bug? i keep running into him at that tree house village thing which i have found no way of getting to from the ground. the winding wood platform doesn't reach the ground all the way it seems.so i had to use my dev aveza airship to reach the top. airships are awesome like a spicy chicken sandwich. once again though these are just things I have found in my game i cant say anything about what others may have found. but other than that beautifully done.
No, but I want to add some eventually. Ive been playing Skyrim since it came out, but just started modding, so I am learning a lot in a small amount of time.
This looks really nice! Not sure about the location of the boat from Dawnstar, lots of mods use Dawnstar as a launching point. DL'ing and I'll let you know if I come across any conflicts with the other mods I use that affect Dawnstar. Thanks for posting this, and good luck with your job search.
Most mods I've seen start from Solitude or Windhelm docks, but I will do some searching to see if there are any conflicts with other mods. Thanks for the tip.
""Ol' Arrow Knee" and "Falskaar" come to mind. The "Serenity" and "Northern Cardinal" ship mods also add docks there. I think there are a few new mods that add docks also, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
