I've been playing this game since I was a teenager when I loaded mods willy nilly, but then they miraculously worked and I had a great time. Now I want to revisit this game, but this mod is not ported to SSE. i hope someone can help me realize this wish, this mod is a precious memory for me, thanks a lot!
I join some other posters in this thread who have attempted, without success, to port this mod to SSE. When you open the esp (which is dated 12/31/2007) in the construction kit, the version of Lydia displayed bears no resemblance to the pictures. It is as if the esp is totally unrelated to the meshes and textures, and, as ThomasRedgrave noted Apachii is not shown as a master. If you simply install the mod as is in SSE, the hair appears to be the same as the pictures but the face has no textures. Wish I could figure out how to make it work since I really like it. I have ported mods of this type to SSE many times before, and, in fact, successfully ported Chao's Illia replacer mod with no problems.
So this isn't getting ported to SSE it looks like, so I go, "Fine, I'll just port it myself. I've ported other mods for personal use and I can do this one too." But it seems that whatever this mod does, it doesn't do it in the .esp file that comes with the mod. Anyway, I don't know what the deal with this mod is. If you use the creation kit on oldrim, you can see that it doesn't have Apachii as a master. What's the deal with this mod? It's just weird. Works fine in oldrim, and I still have it installed, but goddamn I wish that it acted like a normal mod so that I could port it over to SSE and use it there. I ended up making my own mod that somewhat duplicates this one, but it isn't quite the same. Oh well.
Must agree with ALL the complimentary remarks! Excellent Lydia, will not "leave this one at home" Thank you! for all the hard work that went into this Mod.
