The mod description says: "If you fast travel while on foot, the last elk/deer you were riding will appear at your destination and then promptly run off. "
Does this mean the last elk/deer I ride got flagged as my "Horse"?
I don't mind that, since I always tag my actual horse/mount using the awesome CS Tag & Track mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25554/?), so I can always recall/summon it and hopefully "unflag" the last elk/elk I rode.
My question is that if even if I am riding an Skyrim horse, and if I fast-travel, will both my horse and the last-ridden eld/deer teleport along with me? I do not want that, nor do I want elk/deer running around loose within cities (e.g, Whiterun), so please advise.
When you fast travel, the last "thing" you were riding travels with you. If that thing was a horse then it will just be the horse, it it was a deer/elk then that's what it will be. Also, if the last thing you were riding was a deer/elk and you fast travel INTO a city, then that animal will be placed at the stable like a horse, and for some reason it will be in a calm state and wont run away.
Oh man, I'm so sorry to see that I'm the last one to post here (and that was a month ago). I just want to say that even though I joked about it then, I LOVE THIS MOD (enough to come back and gush about it again). I meant it when I said that I will never play Skyrim without elk mounts again. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Downloaded this a couple of days ago and love it. Very Princess Mononoke. Even the mounting "oddities" are hilarious (try riding your elk across a river for a real hoot)! I will never play Skyrim without it again. Thanks
it works man.. thank you so much. it is so much nicer now... I can choose between so many different skins now. It works really well. really simple and immersive mod. less fast travel is always good. I spotted my elk. ran to him and mounted it... ran for a bout 10 min in the forest... found a pack of 5 wolves... they chased me. so I ran faster... then I didn't see the cliff...... and for about 3 meters high... my elk destroys his poor body on the floor and dies... then I killed the wolves and ate the elk by cooking his meat in a temporary campfire I did. excellent mod. thank you so much
I would like to try something like this, but there's a problem. I was hoping the sabrecats aggro level would determine their ridability, but it didn't matter if I was undetected or in the middle of combat with them, I was always able to ride them. Which in my opinion makes them no longer dangerous.
If I could figure out how to make them only ridable while the player is undetected, or with the use of a calm spell or something, I would definitely add that to the mod.
Yes i can see that would be problematic if you can jump on any wild beast... Maybe you can make it so staying there difficult though.. Getting ragdolled off and scratched in the buns by the angry feline if forementioned sabrecat has above set amount of stamina or not bleeding out. Just a thought...

Edit: I also noticed that it's not compatible with One With Nature, that's a shame. :c
Couple of questions though...
