How does Uncapper slow player leveling? Nothing on the mod page lead me to believe it was slowed. It says it pushes the level cap to 1000 so you can essentially level up forever, which I'm pretty sure was already a thing in Skyrim, and the "level up forever" thing is something that I've heard, I swear!
Obviously Uncapper isn't your mod, but you suggested it.
If you open the uncapper ini, you can set a multiplier to any skill level gains and even XP gains from every separate skill level - these are set to 1.0 by default = vanilla game, and can be set to for example 0.5, so that every skill level will grow twice as slow. Then you can even slap on an XP multiplier (which nicely compensates for higher skill caps), so that with an XP gain 0.5 it will take twice as many skillpoints to get a level.
Savvy?
PS: the vanilla skyrim "level up forever" tooltip refers to you being able to reset skilltrees using the legendary function - which if you ask me is a sad joke on the whole leveling forever business
Yeah, used original hardcore a lot before. Got swatted faster than a frog can catch a bug...wasn't really fun...especially not when starting in markarth with alternate starts.
Amazing! I mean if I want my character become the most powerful mage in Tamriel I always felt like those pesky bandints really shouldnt be a match anymore! So happy I found this mod. Also thanks for the abandoned prison tweak.. if it werent for the 3DNPC ghost I think those would f*#@ me up every time Id try to escape the cell.. Cheers mate!!
EDIT: Just looked at the original mod's chart and you cant do any dungeons before around lvl 16 especially with a combat ai overhaul. I'm not bashing on the mod design at all, but I really wasnt expecting to be one shotted by a shield bash at halted stream camp...
Oh, cool. So it's not just me then. It's honestly the damage dealt by mages for me. My biggest problem with any combat overhaul + de-leveler/zone changer mod is that mages just destroy me anymore. I'm terrified of every dungeon because I know if there's more than one mage in the same room, I'm screwed. LOL! On top of that, like you said, the bosses seem to be extremely buffed with mods like this. Oh well, it seems the best way to play Skyrim is to just deal with the shoddy zone levels. I have yet to find a mod that brings any level of perfect balance. It's either still too easy, or it's phenomenally hard. :/
Get yourself either a mod that adds more followers...or a mod that "makes" more followers (not exactly a good choice for "good" characters but if you're evil, go ahead...). I have at all times atleast 4 extra people with me, just in case. It doesn't really help either that i have installed a racial abilities overhaul mod that makes bretons hit less hard...So I'm basically a support class char atm, by healing people constantly.
Great mod. Do you have any intentions of transferring this over to Special Edition? It may already be compatible...not sure. Either way, appreciate the work you've done. Take care.
Chocolatenoodle if I may ask, in this mod description you say "The Encounter Zones' min levels are unchanged, but all max levels have been set to only +1 higher (+1 instead of the same because I'm paranoid something won't work if there's no range and I don't want to test - one level won't be making any differences)."
Do you mean that for example the Bleak Falls Barrow in the original balanced version of Permazones which is 18 min. and 28 max., the balanced version of your mod is 18 min. and 29 max. instead? Please reply I'm curious about it.
I am having trouble understanding how these encounter zones work. When I start a new game with one of these mods installed (MLU, SPZ, PZ) and head over to Bleak Falls Barrow I am not finding higher level enemies. Inside I met 3 bandits, 4 skeever, 1 spider and multiple draugr. I went through at level 1 and also at level 5 (different starts). Each time the bandits were level 1-5, skeever were level 1, spider was either 1 or 5, draugr were all either 1 or 5. I went down into the chasm and into the underground streamish area before stopping.
I have been scouring for info on this and posted some on reddit but it is still bothering me. Is this experience correct? Is this part of the dungeon supposed to be so easy (low level enemies)? Permazones makes the minimum something like 30. I think I understand that not all creatures have a max level of 30 so they WILL be lower but if the min level of the zone is higher than their max level...wouldn't their spawned level be close to their high?
I found the m most complete answer I could ever hope for on this subject. It was posted by the author of Permazones, Tenderhooligan. I am extremely grateful as I have agonized over how this works for a while now And only stumbled over this post. I'm going to include a link here in case anyone else comes searching for a similar answer. Thankee Sai!

Or can we do it by ourselves simply with CK?
