Found this today. Yesterday I got fed up of adding stuff manually (I try out a LOT of armour/weapon mods & want to see how they look before I pick one for a role-play character) so I made a bat-file to add 30 of each crafting item... even though by now I pretty much know the codes off the top of my head. I'm just too lazy to type them out.

This will help me out a lot when I try new stuff. Thanks!

I usually add create a "cheat chest" somewhere and dump everything I want to use in it, like bolts (use a lot of bolts with the van helsing bow mod") and some other stuff. When I want something, like stalhrim , I just add it to the chest using tes5edit. no need to create a batch file and add to inventory, the chest has most everything I need, if it doesn't, I simply add it.

I actually think it would be neat and immersive to find cashes of materials like this throughout the game and in more immersive locations. Like mines, or next to smelters. I think this is a great but I feel like its a little immersion breaking where you have it. A stock of materials like this under the Yarl's keep somewhere would be really good. Or stacks of Iron ingots in iron mines, or moonstone in the moon forge, etc etc would be a must use mod.

Well a nice idea to be honest , should it be ingots or rather ore in those places or some kind of a mix , anyway im gonna have a look if i can find a wiki article for those mines because i have no clue about their location or name

I think it would make good sense if there were ingots, and ore, and smelters near mines. I'm glad you like my idea. I really look forward to seeing what else you do with this. There are LOTS of mines in the game. I think reputable smiths would also all have a cache of materials, but not quite this intense of a cache. Orc stronholds would also be good places to put stocks of materials

I started with the bilegulch mine an orc stronghold with an orichalcum ore vein i added some extra pickaxes , a clothing container , dropped some ore over the veins and made a small ore container. Outside the mine you can now chop firewood to use the smelter who has a small ingot stock beneath it. Before i continue with the other mines i wanted to ask you if this is ok ^^. Just click on the imgur link where i uploaded 6 pictures of it

Im working on it but it takes quite some time because there are 20+ mines in the vanilla game. I wont add a smelter everywhere because sometimes its just not fitting to the area or because there is not enough space for it . I will add some pictures meanwhile to the http://imgur.com/a/badg4 link

I'm just happy you're rolling with the idea. I'm Patient. I have my own mod idea I'm trying to make right now, so It'll be a little while before I can actually play the game anyway lol. I don't know jack diddly about the CK so I have to learn all that.

I always thought the various Smiths should have a few Ingots laying around near their forges, but the only one who actually does, that I know of, is the the one in Riverwood. He has a few Steel Ingots near his forge. Not trying to throw more at you. Just contributing to the cause ^_^

I will consider it after i finished the mines but it will be another mod then because i assume that places near smiths are often changed by town overhauls and that stuff . You can simply disable the mod then without disabling the mines too

You may want to make the mines another mod anyway. The purpose of that seems a bit different than the purpose of this

You know, with this mod makes you debase the principle armor and forge on unnecessary skyrim. It's like a mod cheat, we no longer need the materials to make armor. Personally, I do not intend to try it but it's fine for example, make a machinima on Skyforge, ect ......

I prefer immersion as well but im used to try out the stuf wheter it works and how it looks in my game before I go the vanilla way to craft it . This is just a timesavior for me
