Im not trying to be nit-picking here, but shouldn't the effects be switched? The Frost River Mead should make you vulnerable to frost damage, but resistant to fire damage since you are cold, and the Ashfire should make you vulnerable to fire, but resistant to frost damage?
Nope, but the download as a white/grey bottle texture, so you can use image editing software to overlay colors into it. I use Paint.net so if you have that program you can use it to open the PDN file I included. Thanks
I've been looking for these for a long time! They were just what was missing from this very nice mod - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19922/?
Jokerine, I know you write you're not going to do anything with them, but how would one go about adding your textures to these two kinds of mead that are already in game? (I use both CRF and DB)
I don't use either myself, so nope, sorry. But it should be really easy so you could do it yourself. Just open DB and CRF and assign the meshes to each drink, save and it's done. As I said this is a resource and I won't do anything more with them.
You're talking about the CK right? I'm getting comfortable with TES5edit, but CK is still a mystery to me =p
Also, I imagine that won't work, since the ashfire mead shares textures with the generic meads in game, and other meads and ales as well. Hence why the unique booze bottles requires the .esp to differentiate between the bottles. Not sure about the CRF bottle, as far as I recall it shares textures with generic mead as well.
Hm, using your .esp file and your meshes & textures, would it be possible to make it a replacer for vanilla bottles, instead of an add-on as it is now? In that case, what would be needing alterations in the CK?
I know why that mod requires an esp, ya know. I did make an esp here to make these textures standalone, just like that mod does
Well, here are instructions to implement these in those mods you have.
For CRF: Open that mod in the CK, look for the mead (not sure what the ID is, just look for "mead" and poke around until you find it, the icon will be a big A with a pink border), double-click to open the Ingestible window, look for "model" and click "edit". Click "edit" again and navigate to my MeadFrost.nif and select it. Click OK, OK to close the ingestible window and save. Done.
For DB, find a mod that uses Dragonborn (I don't know if that unique booze bottles does it, but if not, add it in by double-clicking the Dragonborn master file when you load the esp into the CK). Do the same as before - look for "ashfire" mead (the icon will be a big A with a pink border), double-click to open the Ingestible window, look for "model" and click "edit". Click "edit" again and navigate to my MeadAshfire.nif and select it. Click OK, OK to close the ingestible window and save. Done.
Hope that helps. I really don't want to have to do this for you, although I could if you really, really, REALLY can't figure it out. But I think those instructions should be pretty clear considering I haven't had breakfast yet...
Haha, thanks, I'll take a look at hit once I download the CK. It will pretty much be my first delving into the dark reaches of the CK, but I'll see how it turns out. (and if I f* up, I'll count on you =D )
Jokerine, that worked perfectly, thanks! I'm so relieved to have some other textures than the regular mead. And this is now officially the first thing I have ever done in the CK
One question, I assume it is safe to merge your .esp file with my other merged .esps, without losing the changes I just made?

I think i'll add this to my mod collection.
Are you going to be adding to this resource? Like a brown beer bottle or some other drinks?
