Version 1.03 Added stringdecimal converter. Why? Well MCM menus added a text input menu, but it doesn't parse floats. You get all the decimal places. But parsing the number of decimal places is too slow with papyrus. So hopefully it's faster to have a plugin function to do it.
Version 1.04 Added enough functions to implement actual spellcrafting.
Version 1.06 added setmagicka cost bug fixes for merge spell function
Version 1.07 Added get/set spellchargingtime more fixes and changes to the mergespells function.
Version 1.08 Added functions for tracking player enchanted item bloat. Merge Spell function now properly marks a spell as hostile.
Version 1.09 MergeSpells will return 1 now, if the spell has no associated school.
Version 1.10 Added: Function SetNthLevelItemCount(LeveledItem akList, int index, int count) Global Native ;The SKSE version of this is capped at 255 (incorrectly so), this is capped at 65535.
Version 1.11 Altered the mergespell function to no longer enforce spell delivery and cast types.
Version 1.13 Spell crafting will now default the delivery and casting type to the first magic effect.

6 almost 7 years later, I'm still using this mod without issues. I doubt you'll see my post, but thank you. I play a very heavy modded game, most of my mcm items won't show up unless I use this mod. Thanks again.

Count me as one of the many people who have this problem. It's strange that no one has given any advice or fix or even the slightest amount of info on this problem, considering the number of people reporting it. Hell, there is not one single instance I can find on this site where ANYONE has EVER answered this problem. You'd think a game-breaking CTD problem would get SOME attention.
Add me to the list, unfortunately.
Further, if one only uses Skytweak, is this actually required? According to the description, it simply makes more efficient the MCM menu and allows Skytweak to alter torch settings. Neither of those are paramount for me, so could I simply use Skytweak without this?
Bump of a pretty big problem that has not gotten an answer since the time it was initially reported. In October 2015. ANY response from the mod author whatsoever, or by someone who knows what's going on at all, would be tremendously helpful and appreciative. I haven't been able to play Skyrim at all thanks to this problem.
Got the same CTD problem near the giant spider in bleak falls barrow. Had to uninstall, but apparently it leaves a couple of files inside the Skyrim folder, even with Mod Organizer. I removed them and was able to play again.
I'm actually still getting error messages in the log from this plugin, long after removing it. Not sure if it's behind the crashes or what, but I wish I hadn't installed it in the first place.
Happening a lot around chaurus in Frostflow lighthouse/abyss.
Edit: Ahh, I see. It was still installed on my older MO profile.
Same thing here. Installed it and there were no apparent hiccups, mostly with the opening parts of the game at Helgen. Then suddenly it would either fail at a new game right after Alduin appeared, or inside the keep. I am heavily modded, but stable otherwise, and my papyrus showed me the same thing as other posters, and unchecking it from MO2 resolved this. My goal is not to be critical, but to offer what I can to help others, or even mod creator despite long absence. Good luck, folks.
For anyone uninstalling this mod in NMM, this plugin will leave files behind in the Skyrim folder (2 Grimy's plugin documents) and a .dll in the SKSE folder that need to be manually removed.
Would you kindly post the names and paths of the files? I've only found "GrimyToolsPluginScript.log" in /skyrim/ but don't see the other two that you mentioned.
Just removing that and the main mod files (using NMM) makes the crashes a lot less frequent but apparently I've not gotten everything as this is still showing up in Papyrus logs for my game.
I've made a port of SkyTweak for SSE that I have been using without this plugin. I have manually installed this plugin today; decompressed archive, and placed folders within the data folder. It seems to have made no difference to SkyTweak, although this plugin is listed as a requirement. So, in short my game runs with this plugin installed, however what effect it is having is undetermined. If you need it for one of the other Grimy Mods, give it a go...
this actually is gamebreaking , downloaded this for skytweak and they Effected the game in weird ways . Game wouldnt pause if im in a menu Main Menu music Still playing even after a save loads up , While in a loading screen i could equip/unequip weapons. & the files from this always showup even after a fresh install of skyrim..
Error: Static function SetLightDuration not found on object GrimyToolsPluginScript. Aborting call and returning None and a few other errors and it comes from grimmymainmenu.psc. Everything worked before idk what fucked up...? now when i fast travel game just crashes to screen
Here's a story of a woodcutter who tried to cut a tree with a fork, eventually he succeeded in doing so after one year but ONE day this company released this super high tech and cheap robot that can cut trees with a fork faster than normal, the poor woodcutter saw that and bought it as soon as possible, since then his productivity increased by up to 500%, cutting up to 5 trees per year.

Get the same CTD message near kynesgroove and Anis Cabin near Riverwood.
I know Papyrus log does not mean the reason behind CTD, but, strangely, after I uninstalled this plug in, CTD was solved.
I still endorsed this mod because I wasn't sure my CTD was caused by this.
Too bad I can't use Grimy Utilities without this plug in.
Along with the crash reports this warning is invaluable!
