CACO version 2.1 is now available. While this is primarily a bug fix update, we've also incorporated the meshes from Impulseman45's Lepidoptera of Skyrim. Assuming you were previously using version 2.0, updating to version to 2.1 should not require a new game. Please see the changelog for full details of the changes.
While we don't plan to further develop kryptopyr's mods on LE going forward, I expect to release one or two final CACO updates later this year to address any unresolved issues, which may include some additional new content.
Lingering damage undead poisons wont work anymore. I dont know why. I tried de activating odin and ordinator but nothing seems to work. I will try the older version I had to see if it works
Edit: It didn't work with the older version. I'm screwd
2° edit: I've found a solution to this problem. it seems like JS Emissive Eyes was conflicting with CACO somehow. Putting it below JS Emissive Eyes solved the problem.
I no longer find Hearthfires items like locks and glass in barrels. Just tons of unwanted food items. Did you replace ALL barrel contents instead of just food barrels?
Howdy! I've got a suggestion for a QOL improvement if you're interested!
When in the potion crafting menu, selecting an ingredient will gray out other ingredients that you have crafted together and proven they do not mix. However, even if you have discovered all 4 effects of ingredients that don't mix, they wont gray out unless you specifically craft them together. It's easy enough to just check their properties, of course, but when you have a million ingredients and you're trying to discover new properties, it becomes quite tedious and ends up in a lot of wasted rare ingredients if you're impatient ( I wouldn't know anything about that ^^; ). So my suggestion (and idk how difficult this would be) is to compare the properties of ingredients that have been fully discovered, and gray out combinations that don't match.
Thanks for taking time to read this! This is easily one of my top 5 mods of all time; thanks for your hard work !! <3
Thanks for the suggestion (and for the nice comment)! That's a pretty complex change so it's unlikely to be something we'll implement in the near future, but I will make note of it. In the meantime, while I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, this mod may interest you.
i have a few questions but, first: how can i get water? and: im trying to make paralysis poison, and despite im having a 50 lvl alchemy, it says paralysis for 0 seconds, what can i do.
You can "craft" water at Cooking Stations and get it from wells (they are MCM options related to these on the "Harvest" page).
What ingredients are you using? It sounds like either another mod is overwriting CACO's changes to some vanilla ingredients, and you have a mod adding ingredients without a patch.
i see ! do you know if there's a way for me to install it without needing to start a new game ? (the patch file says that i would need to start a new game for the download ): )
If you use a a script cleaner (like from FallRim Tools) on Hunterborn's scripts, you may be able to get it working. That's not something we, or the HB authors, are able to provide support for though.
How do I use chemical wedding? I know that I can refine and create extracts but I'm dumb and can't figure out how. I have the perk but no idea how to turn snowberries into snowberry extract.
Edit: I'll leave this up in case anyone else is as dumb as me. Use the retort, you need distilled alcohol as well. You dumb nuts.
I have no Salt in my inventory but I do have 153 Salt Piles. When I go to cook in an Oven the recipes that call for Salt say I have 274. When I go to cook in a Cooking Pot (or other non-Oven cooking station) the recipes say I have no Salt. I am at a loss. I have Hunterborn and Ordinator and the patches for both. I am using Vortex to download and organize everything. I can not make any of the broths which I need for higher level foods. I do not have any other survival mods or anything that adds needs for food and water. I have read the 1st 10 pages here and the last 10 pages to see if there was anything already posted (that is how I got the patches.) Thank you for any assistance.
Use the "Recombine Cooking Portions" option in the MCM.
CACO automatically divides salt, flour, wine, and other ingredients into smaller amounts at a cooking station, and recombines them after. Sacks of flour are automatically divided into 20 cups of flour, salt piles into 10 pinches of salt, etc. Any CACO patches should adjust recipes accordingly for their corresponding mods, but for unpatched mods you can use the MCM option.
I have a problem with this mod. Many items, such as the new alchemical tools, many food items (i.e. Haafingar or Ivarstead cheese) and some new ingredients are nowhere to be found. I have this mod from the very beginning, but I have never seen any other alchemical tool than the common mortar and pestle. As far as food items are concerned, this is strange because onions or peas for instance are quite common, but I have not seen Haafingar cheese even once. CACO is near the very bottom of my load order. I also use Scarcity, but I don't know if that matters.
