You should fix the folder structure, ie make the file tree look like:
data/textures/armor/nightingale/
Then set up your male and female folders, it would make it easier for MO users like myself since MO requires game data to be the top folder in order to install correctly, otherwise it will report an error.
did you follow the instructions, if so then the paterns should be lighting up as if they where made of silver depending on how you look at it and how the ligghting touches the different parts
