wow there actually is a mod for this good job. however wands of skyrim allows you to change spells? would it be possible to implement that and hell if you want to go the full monty why not add perks and new animations?? but the animations and perks i get would be difficult
What's w/ all the floaty things in the vid? Can they be disabled? Do the staves themselves do any physical damage when they hit or is all damage magic? Otherwise it looks cool, MotoSxorpio. Good luck w/ this.
The "floaty thing" are from other mods to enhance my combat. Nothing to do with this mod. And yes you can go physical, as they behave like a normal battleaxe.
I've been messing around all day trying to tweak this mod to make a Dawnguard battle hammer that shoots sun fire, but I can't get it to work for the life of me. How'd you do this?
A few things I think should be addressed: 1. The Incineration staff faces the wrong way (the dragon faces back towards the player, not in the direction of the spell casting). 2A. It would be nice if players could choose what they wanted their staves to look like. I, personally, like the way the dragon priest staves look, but only the incineration staff has that look. Perhaps you could organize the staves by spell and model (ex: Forsworn Chain Lightning Staff, Alteration-style Ice Storm Staff, etc) 2B. Going along with that, some pictures/screenshots of the staves on this mod page would be really nice to have 3. That being said, this is one of the greatest Staff Mods ever to come to Skyrim. Two-handed staves are awesome and this is the only mod I've found that makes them.
I don't care whether DA2 was hated or not, I always loved this one little thing about it - too bad they took it away from DAI (yet decided to keep the theatrical swing-around animation). I always thought that some of these staves would be absolutely perfect to cause blunt damages with. Especially in Skyrim's case, where staves by lore have to be charged with soul gems - what do you do if you're out of charges and you're stuck with a staff? Whack! Seriously, I don't even get it why they didn't think of this (or didn't care to implement it).
I haven't tried the mod yet but I'm looking forward to it. But I really like the looks of it and the idea behind it - I love staff based combat and I love magic, so this should be just perfect for me.

Place Removespell.txt under your game directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim
In Removespell.txt,
Change every "xx" to your mod load order formid index
Open NMM
Next to your mod, the column Load order is your Formid index
Ex.
=Aetherial=
Player.removespell xx014c71
Player.removeitem xx014c62 1
My formid load order index is D8
=Aetherial=
Player.removespell d8014c71
Player.removeitem d8014c62 1
Once done with everything, ingame, type in console command: Bat Removespell
There will be a chest that spawn right under you feets. Grab your staves back from there.
I'm using MCO and the lack of actual staff combat bugs me to no end. Magic in Skyrim is already disappointing but come on Bethesda.

I'll track till I'm ready to use them but this is a mod I know I'll want. Thank you.
[edit] And for anyone wondering, it does seem to level up your Destruction and Two-Handed at the same time.
