I have retired from modding Skyrim. I hereby give blanket permission for anyone to use, modify, rehost or port any of my content to Special Edition, provided proper credit is given.
It has been a blast being a part of this community and it makes me very happy that my work is still appreciated by so many. Have fun creating!
Would anyone know how to adjust the male style to use for a female Khajiit? I love all the coins/charms in the hair and it would be perfect for my girl. <3
I converted this for SSE and it's absolutely beautiful, I can't wait to make a new Khajiit. It fits so well it took me a minute to realize I wasn't looking at a Bethesda hair, Thank you because I love playing as Khajiit (Hands to yourself sneakthief) If you ever come back to modding Skyrim I really look forward to seeing what could be added to this.
how did you convert it? i try'd converting it via nif optimizer, then installed manually and open and saved it in ck but it crashes my game during character creation when i try to select it. any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my favorite look for khajiits of all time.
so i figured out how to convert this for anyone still wondering. all u need is sse nif optimizer and the ck. 1.) download the mod manually 2.) extract the files to your desk top, preferably into 1 folder for convenience. 3.) run nif optimizer makeing sure u select the "head parts only" option as well as the default selected ones. 4.) repackage with 7 zip or whatever program you use. 5.) install the mod manually and save it with the ck 6.) Enjoy
I'm stuck on Step 5. Install the mod manually, as in unpackage it? Can I use NMM to install it? As for saving it with the Creation Kit, I've only just downloaded the CK and am somewhat lost as to what that means. :s
Depends on what mod manager you use, if you use one (which you should). All of them have a way to manually add packed mods to their library to install as any other mod. When you repack the files you ran through Nif Optimizer you're making the file management easier on yourself.
Thanks for this mod, it'S really the best Khajiit hair option and very lore friendly It fits so well! Im not a huge fan of custom hair like Apachi because it look too... perfect, for Skyrim. But you did a great job here!
Also, i converted your mod for SSE... Is it ok if i share/upload it? I'm not gonna do it without approval so feel free to just ignore if you don't want to!
I finally found the perfect hairstyle for my male Khajiit Malachi only to discover that its not available for SE T.T I'll still download it for Oldrim though its too good to pass up
Hands down, the best khajiit hair mod I've ever seen. It looks really pretty and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb xD Thank You for creating it and I hope You can get back to Your passion soon!
Beautiful and lore friendly, i love it i really hope you do more hairs for khajiits, specially ponytails or braids/dreads. I can give you sketchs if you want, just pm me
I'd be curious to see those sketches, but I really can't promise anything. I'm officially on break from modding, because my life is currently too much of a mess to be able to muster the time and energy for it.
I use a separate texture for this hair mod, so you do not need to worry about compatibility. As for visually matching the styles, I think all options from SLFH should look alright, they are not so radically different. My texture is based on the 2k Rough Hair option, so if you want them to be perfectly similar then that's the one to go for. You can choose any saturation level, though I recommend the more desaturated option because it gives you more freedom with the colour sliders (assuming you use RaceMenu), and even then it's hard to make truly white or neutral grey hair. Hence my custom texture. The normal map option is up to personal taste - real hair is shiny, but the game engine makes it look so bad and artificial that I prefer to go for less realistic and less shine.
Oh. Yes, that will definitely look weird, so stick with the recommended combinations. I'm sorry for the misinformation, it's been a while since I installed the mod and I haven't actually played Skyrim in ages.
Discovered this from your link in Aetherial crown, and wow. It is absolutely spectacular to see some good, high quality attention paid to khajiit for once! The character I spent probably a collective 900+ hours with over many saves is a khajiit, and it's always a slight kick in the gut to see a new mod come out and get excited for it before discovering it's not beast race compatible, which is why your quick work on the aetherial crown replacer you did was such a fantastic surprise. But you've actually added some beautiful khajiit hairstyles! I applaud you. I've always wanted to see more interesting hairstyles for khajiit - I think that various beaded, braided, and 'rugged' hairstyles look fantastic on them. The male hairstyle here is gorgeous...I haven't played a male khajiit since maybe fifty hours into Skyrim, but if I ever make a new guy, this is certainly what will be growing from his scalp.
And also, because I can't help but suggest...don't you think a male khajiit would look magnificent with a proper mane? More like long fur than hair, like a lion's, but perhaps strategically beaded or bejewelled in places. If only time weren't such a precious commodity, eh?
Thanks again for your beast race contributions, it's so fantastic.
Thank you! I made this because I started a sneaky thief character and just couldn't bear to go bald again for lack of a better alternative. You're very welcome for the beast race support on the crown.
That would look magnificent indeed! Working with hair is a bit of a pain though in this engine, I don't know if or when I'll pick it up again. But if I do, more Khajiit goodness is totally at the top of my list.
