I tried using this in Special Edition and it worked. BUT, when attempting to use it along side Immersive Wenches & Flower Girls, it made my character invisible during the intimate animations. Trial and error narrowed it down to this mod being the problem. I'm not a programmer or anything so I couldn't begin to tell you WHY this mod is causing the problem, but I just thought I'd share my findings with anyone else who decides to come here from SE.
The mod is really good work and I hope someday it makes its way over to SE with official support.
EDIT: It wasn't just this mod that was causing the issue. It was any mod that modified the CBBE body (that's what I was using -- UNP or others might also be affected). I was able to solve the issue by simply loading Painterly (and the others) BEFORE CBBE in the mod list and allow LOOT to do its thing w/ the .esp. (If you have any questions, DM me because I'm probably never going to come back to this forum unless something else breaks.)
Looks VERY nice, but I'm gonna have to use another mod (too), as this contains only vanilla playable race warpaints, and even men/mer at that. So the rest (argonian, khajiit, forsworn, etc) are still the pitiful pixelated messes.
This mod relies on SKSE's fix for high-quality tint masks, in order to display them at their full resolution. To enable this, add the following lines to your SKSE.ini file (Data\SKSE\SKSE.ini):"
It works but as far as I can tell it isn't as high quality as it should be because of the SKSE64 not having this .ini file to put this line in... iTintTextureResolution=2048
I have a question for gobbldygook, I am making a large npc appearance mod (changing a massive amount of the games npcs) and I was wondering if it would be ok if I generated my facegen data with this mod installed? (Your textures would be carried over onto npc's but my mod would not include your files, and i'de of course recommend it and give credit).

(is there others? I search warpaint and this is the only mod lol)

How does it NOT rely on SKSE for SSE?
Thanks for your comment!
