would be better with mcm or something. Im in my house and go to open a cupboard and I have one option and it isn't open or lock it is just lock. with followers if I have to pull out a weapon to open every cupboard and loot every body it get's annoying fast. And now that I think of it you can open the console and click the object and type player. setlock 10 or whatever level or type unlock don't quote me on the exact console code but I did it last month after looking up the code on google.
if i go to a merchant's store when i open the door with no weapon equipped it gives me the option to lock or open. Shouldn't it require i have the key to lock the shop?
Really cool idea. I use it and enjoy the mod, but here is some feedback.
First, as others have requested, please make it spawn the "Lock" option only if I already have the key, if that's possible. The menu appears... constantly.
The mod provides a lock option for every sack, box, barrel, and any other container that I can open. It's really weird. Perhaps there can be an in-game item, like a "key ring" that has 0 weight, that can be added to the player's inventory. If you have it then it tries to lock everything (for compatibility with mod added containers). If you do not have it then it only tries to lock doors. Is that a thing that makes sense? I dunno, just throwing it out there.
That said though thanks for the mod. It's a fun idea to lock doors behind me or to lock a summoned critter in the next room with all of the other critters.
Would like to know this too. Im guessing that if this works only when you unequip a weapon in the right hand then activate they could work together. Only that dont try that sequence of actions if you want the Simply Knock message box to show up perhaps.
Would it be possible to move this to a power? I usually go without a weapon equipped when walking around towns, which results in the lock menu popping up a lot. I already have a fairly large number of "minor action" powers, this seems like it'd fit in nicely.
Edit: Never mind - the weapon doesn't need to be drawn for you to be able to open doors without the menu popping up. Equipping a simple, small dagger is enough for the menu not to show up every time you open a door.
Awesome - great mod, loving it - especially since it works for modded houses too
I love how immersive this mod is, but I have the same issue. My character is a commoner and doesn't run around everywhere with a weapon. This means that the menu pops up every single time I open something.
I don't know how feasible this is, or if it's easy to do, but would it be able to make the mod only show the menu if you have the right key...?

I have like 30 keys and still not working... Not equipped spell nor weapons!

The "Lock" option does not appear if you have a weapon equipped (doesn't need to be drawn, just equipped).
It's not exactly what you are looking for, but it has helped me not get annoyed by the constant Lock menu appearing.
