The AddItemMenu mod by towawot is a good mod to get/remove mod items.
But when you have over 100 mods, the menu can take seconds to show, and finding the
mod you want may take some time. So I made some edit to some of the scripts, to enable
filtering the mods by .esp name, and mod list are cached for faster menu responds.
This mod only affects the [AddItemMenu] item, but not the magic.
To play it safe, clean your save with Save game script cleaner, not necessary though imo.
tips: Although you cannot favorite the "[AddItemMenu]" item, you can still hotkey it through hotkey mods like AH hotkeys
For first time user of AddItemMenu, save and reload the save for 1 time, then it should work
Originally the mod build the mod list every time you open the menu. That's why it
may get slow when you play with many esps. Now it remember the modlist and checks after
loading game if it need to be rebuilt, i.e. when mods are added/removed.
You can now filter the mods by esp name. Steps:
1) Open the menu
2) After the menu shows up, press and hold the key"1"(not the numpad 1), then press "Esc"
3) A textbox should show up, then you can type ( part of )the mod name you want to look up, then press "Enter"
4) If there is some matches, the menu should show.
Else you see nothing and the game is paused, just press "Esc" to close the invisible menu or go back to step 2)
The filtering is case-insensitive and very basic. for example:
"mor" matches "aaaARMOR.esp" and "MoRning .esp" but not "M or ning.esp"
And don't complaint about the weird hotkey........
