Haha, Well done on this. I am enjoying it very much. Good to see such a well thought out, and done mod based on Monty Python. Lovely, just lovely. A cool Idea would to have the the song play when he is in combat mode, or something along these lines. Just a quick thought however. Take care alanovichromanov, and many great thanks for the mod, its wonderfully awesome.
Many thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you like my attempt at Sir Robin He's meant to be a joke follower, but I did put some effort into the mod, and I hope to be able to add more Monty Python characters as followers in the future.
As for the song, I don't know if I could include it due to copyright issues, and I'm not really sure as to how I would implement it to be honest. Though originally I'd considered adding a "Get on with it!" shout that would temporarily boost Robin's courage
bravely bold sir robin, rode forth from solitude. He was not afraid to die, o brave sir robin. He was not at all afraid to be killed the skyrim ways. Brave brave brave brave sir robin. He was in not the least bit scared to be launched into orbit, or to have his eyes burn out, and his elbows broken, to haves his kneecaps shot, and his body turn to ash And his limbs rubber banding brave sir robin his head cut off, and his heart ripped out, and his liver eaten, and his blood sucked out, and his nostrils raped, and his body brought back, and his penis...
Brave sir robin ran away. Bravely ran away away, When a orc reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled yes brave sir robin turned about and gallantly he chickened out, bravely taking to his feet he beat a very brave retreat bravest of the brave sir robin.
Changed his hairstyle and looks a bit, made him essential. I was planning to do more, but I keep getting sidetracked by other mods. I'm hoping to add more Holy Grail characters in the future though.
awesome! feels great to have Sir Robin "the not so brave as sir Lancelot" who had nearly fought the dragon of angnor, who had nearly stood up to the vicious chicken of Bristol, and who had personally wet himself at the battle of Badon hill, at my side in skyrim!
Putting them in as NPCs wouldn't be that much work. Actually getting them to do something may be more complex. I may have an idea already, but I'd have to do some research about how to implement it.
Is it possible to set one (or more, in this case) NPC to follow another? The minstrels would never count as followers for you, they could just tag along behind Robin wherever he goes. I think Vilja has something similar...
It's probably doable, I'm guessing there already are instances in the game where NPCs follow another NPC (like in various random encounters). I'd just have to duplicate those conditions. Then again, it's rare that I try something new and it's as simple as I initially think
I thought about trying to copy the behavior of that guy who follows Mjoll around half the time. Or maybe you could use one of those multiple follower mods, i think mixed unit tactics would let you set people to follow him.
I haven't given this mod much attention since its release, as I've been working on other stuff. If/when I get back to it, I'll check what you're suggesting, as it might be just what I need. Thanks for the tip
Most likely that encounter has the scripts/AI packages I need, but right now this mod is very low priority for me. I'm updating most of my previous files, and making a couple of new ones, and work is proceeding very slowly I'm afraid.
