Less creepy as long as they stay still lol but actually this is perfect for a Bosmer play through, what with the aversion to anything made of wood this is a brilliant substitute for someone that doesn't want one that looks like an actual half naked person has been somehow frozen & put on a stand to be forever stuck in some kind of disturbing involuntary game of dress-up. (I mean honestly how is THAT less creepy than a carved hunk of wood?) Though admittedly I did try out the Brynjolf mannequin for a bit, just to amuse myself but his hair kept clipping through the helmets & it was really annoying.
Mannequins aren't creepy until you start modding houses anyway. Until then, it's just like 'Hey, a little glitchy I guess'. But after finding out they're NPCs, they frighten the hell out of me because I'm scared they're going to jump at me while I'm not looking. o.O
Might download this mod tomorrow. First of all, I want to work out how to give mannequins weapons, and then let them roam free in Solitude. Muahahaha!
Good idea..to me they don't look creepy, until one starts breathing and walking around, and you hear noises in the basement.. orginal textures are just to plain looking, maybe stained wood, or lighter wood..with better res....so this is a good idea changing their looks.. Till the moving about at will, is fixed by Beth, the creep factor is there no matter the colour.. Funny I viewed the pics first, then the comments, and said inside exactly what @BeyondTom said.. I already have dark assassins out after me, ne'er mind ..I think its to many old PTSD memories of Morrowinds assassins appearing while you sleep, materialise through your walls nowhere was safe..lolol..waking you with an attack..The basement is creepy enough..maybe a lighter wood would be less creepy for now..shall keep my eye on this mod though..ta mate.

Wow crazy, it's a shame they don't have assasins in skyrim do the samething. Must see if there is a mod.....
