I like the concept - I don't recall seeing a dirt floor shack before. Very original and a very good start.

The location is a drawback, however. A shack this primitive feels out of place so near to Riverwood, especially to anyone running ETaC or one of the Riverwood makeovers. In the wilds of the Reach or far away in the high country west of Whiterun it would fit right in: a welcome stopover and place to stash loot or disenchant an item.

I disagree, Riverwood is the "starter" town, the first town the player reaches at the start of the game. It is the perfect place for a starter build-your-own home. I know some people use mods that make Riverwood into a huge city but most people do not. I do use a few mods that add a couple of things to Riverwood but nothing that would make this mod out of place.

I disagree, Riverwood is anything but a "starter town".In either case, no matter who you follow out of Helgen you are going to be obligated to do the people who harbor you a favor (i.e. head to Whiterun and notify the Jarl).Once you do that, you are pretty much forced to role play going down the Main Quest line - and for me that's way, way too early in the game to be fighting dragons. What would I do, say no to a Jarl whose property (this mod) I intend to settle on when he asks me to go check out Bleak Falls Barrow? After that, the dragons are out of the bag and there is no going back.

The "starter town" is anywhere but the Riverwood area IMO - and doubly so if you follow Ralof out of Helgen. When he says "it's best we split up", he's absolutely right. I go the opposite direction of Riverwood, and head into the mountain pass towards The Rift and the Ivarstead region - where the "starter town" is in an area which isn't crawling with Imperials........

I agree with slygeezer on both points. Very original and a very good start, and the location. In the end, the modder isn't modding for me anyway. If this home was in The Rift area, I'd consider it though - only so much you can do with the abandoned Alchemist's Shack.

    Hello
Love the concept. I would recommend you to raise the shack from the terrain and place some planks as floor and add stairs.

    Keep on.
