Hey, understandable. I don't fault you at all. Modding is a time consuming and tedious (and usually thankless) task. I appreciate everything you've done for the community so far. I meant no slander or disrespect, just warning others of a possible issue. I've recently been exploring all the problems that can cause calamity with running Skyrim and other heavily moddable games. Save game bloat is an extremely common CTD issue. Older mods and mods that are not properly 'cleaned' as in TES5Edit, often cause the bloat and therefore problems. I have been cleaning mods I use, when I can, to save myself hassle and headache. I don't have the knowledge to clean up this mod yet. When and if I do learn enough I may ask to tune up your mod for the community so everyone can enjoy your work in the future. Again, thanks for everything you've done thus far.
on the other hand I found out that the best way to have a crash less skyrim is simply to use modorganizer because file conflicts are shown and easily fixable (+ the software gives warnings in some cases)
I realize this is an old post, but people read it and might be discouraged from downloading an excellent, safe-to-use clothing mod.
Thasic's comments are alarmist and misleading.
This mod is clean: there are no ITMs or deleted references in this mod.
As the author says, this mod was created before the CK was released. This is why, in TES5Edit, you will get "unexpected (or out of order) subrecord" warnings. You get a lot of them because you get warnings for the subrecords of each and every item in the mod. Possibly this mod was made with TESnip. Early mods made with TESnip that add followers, cells, or make changes to game mechanics should definitely be avoided, but simple mods like this one that only add meshes and textures are relatively harmless. This was the first clothing mod I added and it has been in my heavily-modded game ever since without causing any problems whatsoever.
This mod cannot cause save game bloat. Unexpected or out of order subrecords do not cause bloat.
The major cause of bloat is moving or dropping objects in the game world. The location of every single item you've ever moved or dropped is stored in your save. (That's probably why Bethesda added NPC dialogue criticizing you for littering.) Another major cause of bloat, and worse, is orphan script accumulation. This mod has no scripts. (FYI there are utilities here on Nexus for cleaning both: Skyrim Save Cleaner for the former, Save Game Script Scalpel for the latter.)
Thanks for the detailed explanation, although now that boosted Thasic's comment to the top again, hehe. As you say, this mod has never actually caused problems, but it's natural for people to worry when they see unexpected warnings pop up in a tool.
I made my first Skyrim mods with Skyedit and a hex editor (hacking it by hand, because apparently I enjoyed pain).
You can indeed. The command is: Player.additem <form id> <amount>
Find the form IDs by typing the following in the console: Help <Editor ID>
The Editor IDs look like this: NFforBoots NFforShoes NFforBoots<color> (eg. NFforBootsRed) NFforShoes<color> (eg. NFforShoesBlue)
valid colors are: Blue Green Lavender Red SkyBlue White
If you don't specify a color, the sleeves will be the original gray. Capitalization doesn't matter. The reason I'm not giving you FormIDs in this post is because it will depend on which other mods you have loaded (and your load order). Check here for more information: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console
I quite like this stuff. Quite a refreshing change from the usual slutty deluge flooding the Skyrim Nexus and it's a must-have on my load order, but I do have one really minor issue to report. Well, mostly a caveat to a few users rather than something that needs attention from the mod author.
If you're playing a Khajiit(Or, in my case, any race mod based on the Khajiit) and you've got the digitigrade mods the boots version will leave a six inch empty void in the dovahkin's legs. The shoes variant works beautifully, but the boots variant has a little weirdness. So if you use that combination of mods you'll want the shoes variant.
The clothes look great but if you check the mod in TES5Edit, it's loaded with issues. If you cleaned it up I would love to use it. As is, likely save game bloat and other issues. Thanks, but no thanks.
This mod was made before the CK was even released, so yes, it's not going to look pretty in TES5Edit. I have not had reports of actual (rather than hypothetical) issues.
I made a couple of extremely minor mods recently that were custom requests, but in general I'm retired from modding. I don't really plan to change it at this point, sorry.
While this mod does include new meshes, they're basically clones of the Miner's Clothes, but with new textures. Do you get the same seam issue when your character wears those?
I really, really like this outfit! But I did notice an issue with it. It seems to have started with the version 1.9 update; now I have a visible seam on the right wrist.
Here's an image to show you what I mean : http://i.imgur.com/ar8jHBX.jpg
Wow! Actual clothes for female players and companions. I was actually looking for some decent clothes for Vilja and found this. Not that I'm against sexuality, but some companions just wouldn't wear the usual clothing mods. Examples: Illia, Aranea

Any idea on when we'll get a male variant?
