I had to uninstall this lovely mod because it caused CTDs* in my game all around the surrounding area, but I had to come back and endorse it because it was so incredibly beautiful while it lasted! Great work!
*probably due to all the other stuff I have on that same tundra...
Well, it might be too much work to ask of you, but an alternative version putting the thing in a different location might help. Perhaps a more remote place where everyone else doesn't put their mods. For example, many parts of the Rift are rather empty and few modders have put anything there, excepting around the big lake near Riften ( forgot the name! ) Well, anyway, don't put yourself out just for me, but if others are having mod conflict problems as well, then that is what I would recommend.
To be fair, it might not be his mod actually causing you to ctd. I have yet to experience a ctd because I only use mods that I trust. If a ctd does occur, it may be due to the amount of mods you have activated along with your machine. Other than that, it is unfair to blame the mod author directly for the ctds. Putting Weathertop somewhere else may help your issue, but I think that would ruin the experience. The mod author placed it in a good spot that sort of fits Lord of the Rings. Then again, there are other places where Weathertop could possibly be moved.
I had one infamous bug with this mod, so around Riverwood apeared random Guildmaster thief and afterwards in Thieves guld quest line, I was unable to start quest Loud and clear. When I entered Ragged flagon cistern, thieves in there asked me to leave and after that they became hostile. Otherwise that tower looks awesome, but this bug completely ruins it.
So I had a weird bug, it seems installing this mod made enemies spawn with up to 6600 steel arrows, anyone with a bow. Upon uninstalling this mod, I have yet to see that happen again.
I like this mod very much. I did not see any beds, though someone mentioned that previously. I also did not find any door or enterences, so I guess you ave not added the "hidden" room. Or if you did I didn't find it. :-) If I may make a suggestion in that regard. I am a huge Tolkien nut and done a lot of research on Middle Earth. I have at times hosted panels at a few conventions many years ago. Amon Sul would have had a garrison. It was not just a decorative tower that held the Palantir. The Palantir would have been too valuable to simply be left there where anyone could come and take it. So what I would suggest is the room inside be in line with a military post. The main room would be large enough an open to allow for practice sparing. There would be an armory with the means of repairing weapons and armor, so a grind stone, armor table and forge, but not necessarily a smelter. Weapon racks and chests for storing. While I know a lot of people would like mannequins, it was far more common to store the gear in chests rather than on a mannequin or armor stand. Those take up much more space than chests. (Realistically, not necessarily in the game) It would be up to you to have a separate room for the armory or as part of the main chamber. There would be barrels as well for stockpiling arrows in advance of a siege. Obviously there would need to be a kitchen facility of some kind and food storage. As far as separate rooms I think there would need to be a private room for the garrison commander, and perhaps his second in command. Some kind of bathing and toilet area. I am only just beginning to learn to use the creation kit and have some designs of my own I am working on but that is my feedback/suggestion. Large main chamber with smithy, armory, and beds for the garrison. Separate rooms for the kitchen and food storage. Separate rooms for commander and second. Separate room for bathroom. As a player house I would personally add a kids room, since I adopt the two girls in the game, a library, and would use the commander's room for my room, and have two beds in the seconds room for followers, and I would absolutely need a library room. :-) Boy that turned into a long post! I love your work!
Thank you very very much for this. I was completely blown away by how good this looks. May I ask why there are so many chests? And making this into a player home is great idea, I am very happy that you have decided to do it. Many thanks for taking the time out of your life to make this for the nexus!
thank you and I apologize for the odd amount of arrows.. Any ideas on how I may fix that?. I will look into it as well and try and get it fixed thank you for the feedback sorry for any issues
I cannot at this moment think of a work around, but I have lots a free time coming up, so I will try my very best. And you have done nothing but build something epic so no need to be sorry.
Stumbled upon this mod & post, thought I would try to help.
Arrow problems are relating to your mod editing Litem - BaseArrowSteel75Here
It seems to me looking through TESEDIT that you have edited quite a few base objects rather than creating new ones, such as: FFMF01Chest, LootGoldChange & SigilStone. - So anything Vanilla or otherwise which uses those is going to have those changes also- There are also a number of quests & cells that have been edited which seem unrelated to your mod. If you want help with TESEDIT or anything just give me a shout on Nexus or Steam, I know TESEDIT fairly well.
I'm not criticising; I won't publish mods for Skyrim.
Can you keep it empty so I can make my own camping site inside? So no need for beds and chests. Just let me have room for make my own camp with my companions.
