v2.0 -Holidays has been completely rebuilt with performance in mind. It is also now a standalone mod. Wet and Cold is no longer required. -Instead of checking the date and disabling/enabling markers every hour, this mod now checks the date once per day. If the date coincides with a holiday, only then will additional scripting become active. This change also keeps effect conditions from polling on the player and NPCs unless a holiday is active. -Innkeepers now have dialogue indicating free rooms when Heart's Day is active. -Merchants now have dialogue indicating discounts when the Warriors Festival or Merchant's Festival is active. -The Tales and Tallows dead have a new sound effect. -You can now randomize or manually set your starting date through the MCM at the start of a new game. -Fixed an issue where "A New Life Carol" books could not be found during the Saturalia holiday season. These books can now also be found outside of the holiday season but are much rarer during that time. -Made many minor fixes and tweaks.
Wet and Cold - Holidays cannot be directly upgraded to this version. Please perform a clean install (optional: script cleaner) or install on a save that did not have Wet and Cold - Holidays installed on it.
The Tales and Tallows dead aren't showing up for me. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. They showed up in a previous play though but not this time. I've checked that there aren't any other mods interfering and tried placing it at the bottom of my load order but no luck. I can force some to spawn via the console but that's it.
The night of the 3rd/early morning of the 4th of Hearthfire! Skeleton horde in The Forgotten Temple ´s sand, in the mod Goma Pero Land!!!! The skeleton horde murdered horse Pero. Well, this mod working in GomaPero Land, Aibellia Island, Tropical Island. Aether Suite without skeleton horde...or i thing so.
The mod works fine. 90% of supposed bugs on mod comments are from people either not reading the instructions or something to do with their own setup. This particular mod doesn't work well under script-heavy conditions but there's nothing the mod author can do about that, you're going to get the same problems people are talking about with any mod that crowds a lot of NPCs in one place.
I have this mod with ultimate skyrim 4.0.6hf2 and for some reason I don't find the witches festival. I went to markarth, whiterun and riften hold according to the stars on the map but nothing. I saw a video for a festival at riften and I went to the exact same place but no mages was there. Help? Please?
Great mod, works really, really well with the lore! It's become one of my must-haves alongside Frostfall and iNeed!
However, I'm saddened to report that Holiday's ETaC patches no longer work with ETaC v14.3.1. I've had floating lanterns for a long time (despite me cleaning and uncleaning the DLCs, ETaC itself) until I decided to disable ETaC. Just a headsup to anyone who is thinking of using the patches...
So I have never had any trouble out of this mod for a long time. And then suddenly, everything just went bananas. "Christmas" and "New Years" passed and it was the 4th of Morning Star when I stopped by Riften and found the market utterly empty. Slightly confused, but more focused on dropping my stuff off at my house, I went inside Honeyside only to discover that everyone in Riften who had high approval of me was partying in my house. Needless to say, the tiny home was VERY cramped and I was super confused. I shoved passed everyone, put my stuff up, and fled in the hopes that upon my next return, everything would be back to normal. Spoiler. It wasn't. I came back two days later on the 6th and all the "Christmas" lights were still up and everyone was still hanging out in my house. I really needed the merchants, so I went into the mod menu and turned off the "Go Celebrate" and that finally got everyone out. But the lights are still there and I'm sure that if I turned it back on, they would go back to my house. If anyone has any answers, please help. And let this serve as a warning to those considering downloading. idk why it suddenly decided to break when it has been working just fine for a long time.

edit: Turns out: it was the retexture mod for this that was causing the issues.
