  1. Same problem with this mod as penguin0918. I decided to murder Lydia to solve her forever loop in/out of the house. I did try to murder that damn mage too but she cant be killed so she forever cycles through the front door.... the blacksmith is awesome !
    1. I'm not sure what causes the cycling issue. Yes, it's very annoying. However there are NO EDITS to LYDIA as listed in the main description.

The mod has been remade considerably since this issue. Thanks for the input. Many small items have been removed and ITMR & U&DR has been done as well. The mage's editor location and even the mahe's room have been moved to the basement to fix this. Thanks for the comment on the blacksmith...she's my favorite.

11/18: This mod has been greatly updated, cleaned and re-uploaded. Many small things were removed that were agreed wouldn't be missed per popular request.
3/19: A new update is in the works that will address old CK bugs/issues as well as change many of the textures used in the home to better match the story line of the home and provide some logic.

I uninstalled the mod using NMM, but after uninstalling the area that should be the alchemy/ child room is blocked off by a wall. Is there a script or something that I need to remove?

I examined the mod in tes5edit again for issues. Are there race edits? Yes, to the Orc & Imperial races...I added 2 hairs for the added NPCs. If this is a problem for other users then they don't have to download it but I don't think it'll have any effect as they are unique. I'll put a note in the description. As far as "Dirty Edits" go, if you have personally verified this then send me a list of them and I'll look into it. If someone goes and edits out things in tes5edit, I promise you they will break this mod. Anything that was not necessary was already removed. The edits to the bound weapons were done as unique item IDs and not changes to the vanilla items (except for craftability) meaning they (my NPC's equipment) are not the same as you'd find elsewhere in the game even though their display name is the same. Thanks.

I just wanted to say this is a very cool home mod, I like it a lot! The only thing it's missing imo, is a small pool or deep bath. Other than that, it's great, thank you!!!

Edit : I just did notice a bug however. Lydia and Vivian keep going out the front door and then reappearing back inside within seconds. This repeats over and over and over. Not sure why that's happening. My own followers do the same just not repeatedly. Will there be any updates to this mod or is it done as it is?

I have seen this at times myself. I don't know what causes it at this time. I can say that there aren't any edits made to Lydia and tes5edit was used to clean the mod whenever necessary. As far as the answer to the question about the mod being done at this time. I have ideas about things I could do to it but I have no time to do them...which is why it takes me a long time to reply to comments.

Warning!!! This mod has a LOT of problematic dirty edits! Do not use this mod unless you manually remove them in tes5edit! It will overwrite your races and bound bow and some other things!!!

Check to see that you have Dawnguard, Hearthfires & Dragonborn DLC installed and checked as active.

First of all, i like it a lot that this Breezehome version is related to the "decorations" which one have to buy from the Whiterun steward.

Second, imo. still much too much extras implemented by default (if i understood right at least), which should be optional installs or also "decorations" to buy (to give players a choice).

Regarding lore- and immersion/realism friendlyness, pretty much all houses offered by the community offer much too much luxury (despite that i know that this is exactly what many players like) - this, if one assumes Skyrim is a medieval-like (fantasy)world (players and modders imo. should make some researchment, how the people lived in that period from ie. ca. 7th AC - 15th AC; they would see, that even vanilla is much more lore/immersion friendly in that field than many community creations; but that's me, who was a realism gameplay modder for many years, in another game branch though).

I also side with the ones, who don't wanna have Lydia-changes (good decision here, that this is considered soon). Also any perk/skill-impacts should be optional contents by all means (mod-conflicts).

Special example for Breezehome-creations is smithing items: I mean, a smith is right outside (Warmaiden), "nobody" would invest into smithing options, when it is in direct neighborhood, and one got permission to use the smith-equipments. Same goes here in this sense with the extra smith/merchant npc in the cellar (many mods are there already, which add much merchants on roads/places/vistors to cities etc.), despite the unrealism, that such a npc hides in Breezehome. And a mage npc in a secret room? Like unleash the beast from time to time, or what is it ...lol ... nah, no offense, i know that's what many like, but for me much too much merely suprarealistic rather immersion-breaking extras in this home, which also offer partly big advantages vs. the (wanted) challenge early on in the game (except one belongs to the cheating guys; i personally belong to the other branch of players, which increase the gameplay to a hardcore-challenge setup with diverse mods and settings which make everything harder).

While by all that criticism, if that house would come completely empty like it is in vanilla, and everything else, and i mean actually everything listed as features on the description page, is an optional install or just a purchase from the steward (which one can "lock-up" with the ongoing game along leveling/quests done etc.) also along Hearthfire-principles, then i would like to try that house, even instantly for a planned new/fresh playthrough (would have to check, if it is compatible with " Dawn of Whiterun " though.

Other than that, all in all, imo. you guys are already on the right course with the main-feature, that house-contents are purchases from the steward vs. all the home-creations which offer homes and everything in them for nothing, so very well done in principle.

(Bookmarked, just to observe the ongoing development).

Thank you for the thorough review. I was considering separating the little extras like the perks and small smithing items into a separate bonus esp for those that wanted it. The though behind having smithing IN the home even though it is indeed next door was brought up due to having to constantly go in/out of the home to access ones supplies kept in the home...thus yet another loading screen to wait through. Lore friendliness is a tricky thing i agree and games to tend to push that a bit. I try to temper the tech with logical function taken from the games story line. The Dwemer were like the the people of Atlantis in this game and represent the mechanical advances of the time (at least in Skyrim.) Which is why there's use of piped ventilation and powered crafting stations...which is why the home is reasonably smoke free. So in short i guess one could say there's OUR lore and Skyrim's lore. Thank you again for the insights and i appreciate it all.

Since I had to ask for something, I have to add my two cents for this opinion.

First my request. Can you please make it downloadable with NMM? Many do not do well in installing manually (including me).

Secondly, where I understand the desire for "realism" let's face it. . .being able to conjure ice wraiths and battle walking skeletons is not realism for that period. Realism has nothing to do with fantasy. If realism were a part of this game, being made a "thane" would merit you a way better house in Whiterun than Breezehome, because it is one of the most crappy houses in the city. So any mod that makes this crappy little house better to me increases the "realism" as to the type of house a real thane would have. Also, having your own smithing area in the basement is way more convenient than using somebody else's equipment. Besides, if the woman is using the equipment, you have to wait. Plus, if realism is in play, you'd have to schedule a time slot to use the equipment because everybody in town would be using it including the guards. also if realism is in play, you'd also have to pay a charge for the privilege. I think that those players who want "realism" in the game should either not download those mods that don't fit into their needs, or get a mod like "Jaxonz Positioner" and delete or redo interiors to your liking. Just my opinion.

I just wanted to give a thank you to all those that took time to comment here thus far. The exposure is much higher here than on steam it seems..which is good for feedback and ideas on what direction to take this mod. It seems that just when you think you've reached the finish line and it's time to start the next big thing you find ways to further improve something. There have been a lot of good suggestions here in a short time. Rest assured many if not all will be implemented in some way. Thanks.
For those that like STEAM. This mod is available there under the same name and gets updated more quickly because of it's integration in the CK, but rest assured those same updates will appear here shortly after.

I like my Lydia, should not the player have some say in the matter. After all she is there to serve me.
    The house looks nice though.

I agree. We plan on releasing a version with no changes to Lydia so the player can use any Lydia mod they want.
