I'll clarify permissions: I don't care what you do with the mod. Port to SSE, use it in a paid mod (scummy but not significant enough to worry about), make patches, etc. Daily Eggs and Busy Bees is really simple and i find it ridiculous modders tiptoe on eggshells (pardon me) about the permissions when the mod can be easily replicated by anyone who cares to look at the source.
I drew the chicken and eggs on the front page myself so if you use the art then credit me.
I don't use SSE, but this mod only adds scripts, and it seems they are not based on SKSE. So, the incompatibility problem seems to be in the BSA format. The solution would be to uncompress it with a BSA tool for SLE and compress it with a tool for the new SSE format, or just let them uncompressed in the /Data/Scripts folder. You can try to do it yourself and test it before you add it to your gameplay. It is easy. If it does not runs, it should be a SKSE conflict that you cannot fix. If it runs well, it should be secure to play with it. More info here. You can also compare the Papyrus log of the two versions to be sure about the stability of your conversion.
@Modling Thanks. I actually got it to work about for a while, but one of the latest SSE updates broke it. I plan on redoing the conversion with updates steps and see if I can get it to work again.
Ceruulean hasn't logged into nexus in a while and the "Permissions" section of this mod isn't very clear, so I don't think I can upload it to nexus if I get it to work. If I do get it to work again, I'll see if I can contact Ceruulean.
As a sanity check, I looked at the file header in DailyEggs.esp. "HearthFires.esm" is in it: TES4Œ+HEDR š™Ù? Æ CNAM DEFAULT MAST Skyrim.esm DATAMAST Update.esm DATAMAST HearthFires.esm
Would it be possible to have the mod rebuilt without the Hearthfire dependency?
Of course deleting items in the file header will make the mod "work." You could delete Dawnguard.esm from Requiem and the file will still "work," the problem comes when the .esp tries to call a reference that isnt there. Did you at all edit the file with TESVEdit BEFORE seeing that Heathfires.esm was required as a master?
I know this is pretty late: but I only edited the vanilla nest. The Hearthfire.esm appeared in the first iteration because I loaded it in the CK to check if it would conflict before I actually started to script the mod. However I didn't actually change anything from Hearthfire. After loading a .esm the CK automatically makes it a master even if you didn't touch the .esm.
@KainThePheonix: The mod was never unstable. The CTD problem posted by Paltiel was a personal problem because he had not Hearthfires, but even that was fixed. You can see the mod has many endorsements.
Dumb question, but how do I activate an empty nest to start the respawn cycle? Do I need to leave the cell for the 10 days to get it to reset and then it will work?
