You have a great start here. Love what you have done. But for now I will have to uninstall. It messed up the Quests with Esbern. I tried 2 taverns so far and I get in but can not get out. Will keep a close eye. Love the start.

Next issue. Is it possible, that this mod broke or changed the Navmesh in Riverwood? Almost all NPC's in Riverwood are stuck somewhere or do not follow their daily routine. They are not able to follow if i tell them to do so, but there is no visible barrier. I also killed NPC's and recreated them on other places, but they seem to be stuck again. Alvor does not leave his house, Gerdur is stuck at the forge, a guard is not able to walk through riverwood and stays close to Hildes House.
    Any idea?

First of all, thank you for your fast reaction. That kind of support is not often to find.

So then..... it seems better now but still not right.
I have no idea how Navmesh work and if it could be something on my end, but it is only in riverwood and only after your mod was installed.

The guard now makes its way through the town BUT loves to enter Alvors house from time to time. Faendal ist not able to follow me if he is located on the road between Hildes House and Riverwood trader. That is the radius he can move in, no further. Somehow he makes it to his woodchop at the river, but i dont know how. Could not watch it. Gerdur often stays at the forge and watches Alvor, who is very active at his forge, but not able to enter his home. Stays in front of the door at night.
Hilde and Sven are no more on the streets, staying inside home.

Well i guess, somethings still not right, OR it is on my end.

Wow, this is so great. Most village overhauls giving me a big impact on performance without bringing a real unique look to the villages. This here is so great, riverwood and ivarstead are beutiful and so fitting to their holds. Didnt check rorikstatt and shors stone yet, because i had to take a breath after the beauty of the other two. But i feel this is THE village overhaul mod for me. Can't wait to see the rest of it finished. Thanks for this.
Another "cant live without it anymore" mod for me.

I recognized some tiny problems in Ivarstead in Vilemyrs (?) Inn.

The floor textures around the Barkeeper seem not to be able to decide what they want to be. You can see the wooden riften floor as well as the former stone floor. And it is flickering like hell when moving. Im am sure, this is no big deal, but i wanted to let u know if you might fix it.

I posted 3 Pictures to let you see

the image is not currently loading for me, but it appears that the original inn interior had returned. This may be caused on your end (conflicting mod) or mine (not removed fully). Though i don't have time to fix it now, i will see if i can later.

no. except for the towns in Falkreath, Hjaalmarch, Winterhold, and The Pale as they keep their original houses

Looks amazing. Finally, someone with an eye for architecture. Two tiny issue though: the blacksmith's fire pit is covered with a straw thatch roof - kind of a fire hazard, just saying. Also, your files say "Whiterun" but your description and images say "Riverwood." Is that an oversight or am I missing something?Cant wait to see the rest. I've got my fingers crossed for JK or ETaC compatibility.

      it will eventually include Rorikstead.
I'm separating it into 5 esps, and will make an all in one when they are all done.
As for the roof over the forge, i tried to use Jorvaskr's porch roof but it didn't fit well and there really is no other overhang that looks nice

You could try to use the Solitude-style farm shed roofing instead.

they're far too blocky. It just doesn't fit with Whiterun's style

Otherwise the Whiterun stable roofing should be used instead, but still every fire pit must have a chimney or flue to vent out smoke and fumes.

Not with JK Skyrim, but you could still use just the main city overhauls by JK and be fine.

Tracking. I'm always put off by the mixing of the buildings between holds. Glad someone else is tired of it and decided to do something with it!

I think the architecture is pretty nice. I found a couple issues on my end that I don't *think* are the result of other mods. In the Riverwood Trader there was a texture suspended in mid air just over the bookcase across from the counter. One of the old Riverwood textures. I don't use any other Riverwood overhauls so I don't know. Next, all the NPC's in town were just standing around doing nothing, both indoors and out.

I don't know, I guess for me it just felt like the Sleeping Giant and the Riverwood Trader were too small, felt very claustrophobic.

Anyway, overall I still think it's a nice overhaul.

I wanted to do this so many times. Nice to see someone else with the right idea. Going to download and track for now, but will be keeping an eye on your progress.
