To be honest, I'm not sure. I guess......I've actually been away for several months, and always install mods manually, so I'm not familiar with the mod managers or Vortex. Can anyone else answer this question?

Or, just try it and post here whether it works.

Can someone PM me a link to download WATER? Not the ruffled feather version, earlier version that was just WATER. I used to have it until my hard drive lost it's partition and for some reason my mods got wiped and show up as unallocated memory when I try to do a recovery.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I've sent you a PM regarding this.

Update: I was unable to assist with finding the right file. If anyone else has an old backup, that would be a big help. Thanks.

There is one problam at the Drink Eat Sleep Bathe Patch, It's not a bug, but need to be fix. When my character was stand at dragonborn DLC's sea ,I found the empty bottle can be refill the sea water and the character drink that well as river water. I think may be need an updata be fit in your mod to block refilling seawater into the bottle and send a message to player like this is sea water....I cant drink that anymore...

Hi there, and thanks for posting.

Could you please tell me what needs mod are you using? This patch was originally intended only for DrinkEatSleepBathe by TheRealRyanB (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29025), which does not differentiate between seawater/river water/etc.

It wasn't really intended to be used with other, more complicated needs mods like RND or iNeed, but it just happened to work with some of them by pure coincidence.

If you could please tell me which needs mod you are using (and what version), then I can examine how it works, and see if I can include that function in a patch for you. My life is very busy with lots of work and family obligations right now, but I will be happy to take a look at it when I get a chance.

      Best regards,
      Rand

What is the recommended load position? I still can't refill waterskins added by Wet & Cold or drink from the surface of the water.

I notice that Sparrow Prince described my patch as a fix for RND as well, but it was originally only intended for Drink, Eat, Sleep, and Bathe by TheRealRyanB.

Could you please tell me which needs mod you are using?
      Is it iNeed or RND?

I had heard from another user that my patch worked *partially* with RND, but I know RND also has some functions that DESB does not have.

Let me know, and give me a couple of days to check it out and see if there's some way I can extend my patch to work all the way for other needs mod users. I'll have a look at the Wet & Cold problem as well.

Thanks for your interest and patience.

UPDATE: For others who run into this problem, this issue was finally fixed by settling on this load order:

      stuff.esp
      iNeed.esp
      otherstuff.esp
      WATER.esp
      WATER_v5-01_DrinkEatSleepBathePatch.esp
      morestuff.esp

Added a "Patches" section to my description. Sorry it's at the bottom, but I couldn't find anywhere else to fit it. Thanks for asking me and thank you for keeping this stuff updated for everyone.

I see SparrowPrince's "WATER - Water and Terrain Enhancement Redux" got an update. Seeing these two mods are connected I think will the WATER changes be incorporated into Ruffled Feather mod here?

    Thanks

Because of how DrinkEatSleepBathe mod detects usable water, any new water mod/update will need to have that tag set in each water type's settings. I'll have to download the new one and see, but I don't have a lot of time right now.

Update: I've sent to SparrowPrince for permissions, but I'm not sure if his inbox is open. Hopefully I'll have something by the end of the week.

NEW UPDATE: I've received permission from SparrowPrince to make the patch, but I've been asked to wait for a more polished WATER file that will be up soon. Look for a patch a day or two after SP releases the finished file. Thanks for your interest and patience.

I see I'm using Ruffled Feather. So I wonder with the update of WATER mod if I should switch over to that mod instead. Although Ruffled Feather was updated on Aug.28 2016 so maybe that's new enough. Yeah, I'll stick with it unless there's some reason not to 'though the author has seemingly sidelined Ruffled Feather in favor of WATER putting it under STEP's miscellaneous files.

The new WATER mod is a just an overhauled version of The Ruffled Feather WATER, and looks pretty good. SP has warned it could use a wee bit more vRAM, but I haven't noticed much of a difference. If you want to try it, just remove your original TRF WATER files and patches to another folder for safety, since you won't be able to replace them if they get overwritten.

I've just uploaded the new patch, but I am leaving the old up on the file page for those who want to keep using the older version. I renamed the file page for the new version, since the v.3.24 of WATER is no longer available on SP's file page. SP seems to be holding out for the Skyrim Special Edition that becomes available some time this month on Steam. I'll see when it comes out whether it's feasible to support my patch mods for that version of the game.

Cheers, and thanks for your support and patience.

That's kind of disappointing. Maybe they're doing some work on it or something.

I'll leave the patch up in case anyone needs it who already has the original Ruffled Feather mod. If SparrowPrince asks me to take it down, I will comply.
