Have you heard of the Craftable Cloud Storage mod? Your mod has a potential problem that it does not: worldspace conflicts with other mods. You've limited yourself to hard-wiring the container locations, whereas CCS left the locations up to the user i.e. placeable; only the user can reliably avoid such conflicts since only he knows what mods he has installed and can see in-game what they have modified.

Oh... didnt know that. Ill make sure to mention that but this mod was made a few years ago and it is as intended. Ill also mention that mod for people with potential conflict problems or if they want more flexibility. Would have done myself, but never came to mind. Never needed to.
The few places its placed is enough imo without braking the logic too much, like, no containers and hidden stashes in places like soverngard or soul cairn ect.

      Thanks

I'm still frustrated by shortcomings in all the storage mods I've tried, but I thought General Stores as a platform held the most promise. It's likely that I will be inspired to create my own personal features mashup of it and several others eventually. I haven't entirely given up hope that a better Skyrim modder than me will form exactly the same wishlist and beat me to it. :-)

Well, what exactly is it that you want and expect from a storage mod? xD

It's a long list... did I mention that I'm a perfectionist and ritual analyzer? The list has only been milling around in my head so far, and I shouldn't even be writing this reply just now. I will share my wish list later if I can. Another Post-It has appeared alongside my monitors....

Sure, no prob. But you aint getting any benefit of a feedback like, its not what i want and not tell what it actually is. Like, a car salesman needs to figure out what color you like while your response that should be - i like blue - is actually - i dont like yellow, i dont like red, i dont like purple. - Also, think within reason and modding capabilities of the skyrim. Get the idea?
      Start small by lets say...
Is it portable? Is it something to put in world multiple times? is it weight restricted?
The weight thing is kinda problematic due to skyrim not implementing it on other things. rather, only player has the limitation i think.
Other weights are achieved artificially via a script that takes the last item put in container and gives it back to player with a message -over the limit-. i dont like that tbh so i rather stick to unlimited and give myself the benefit of the doubt of when its enough and when i went too far.
Honestly, i made this mod literally just for the lack of a reliable container without having a house, so i put my stuff in a container until i get a house for the stuff. like simple hidden stash. simple enough. and yes, that is lore friendly imo. i mean, i dont have a house, i can make a hollowed out tree and store stuff until i get a better solution in real life. so that was the idea. so i put that idea in game, but i thought i release my simple in need solution and expanded just a little bit. and make ppl work (find them) and not just jump into it.

I didn't mean to be coy or tease; I have a very hard time collecting and organizing many thoughts at once, so didn't want to make a promise I couldn't keep or leave anything half finished. In the short term, for your mod, you could eliminate the potential world conflicts if you can reverse engineer the crafting and placement aspect of the other mod. You could make the materials requirement unusually simple to mimic your analogy of hollowing out a tree, so that players can craft them quickly. You've already got the persistent shared container space aspect figured out; now just let the players decide which trees get hollowed-out. :-)

You wernt coy or teasey, just very mysterious. xD
Well, i guess ill try and figure out how to actually allow that kinda of interaction. So logic suggests that a rotten tree can be a hiding spot by default without needing much tools or such to hollow it out or make room, thats easy.
Problem comes to lets say, rock. You cant or wont really try and make in a solid rock a stash. Rather, you would try and find perhaps many medium size rocks and stuff things inside the gaps. Thats a bit hard to tell the game of such a situation without having custom mesh or custom placements around. Problem with that idea and staying logical is, if id make such a system, you could essentially place stuff anywhere in world.
Because, any clutter where you could hide things, stashes boxes, bushes, all that becomes available everywhere. And its a central container so its even more of a cheat than now. Now at least, you have to be at a specific area of meaning. This would essentially resort in something of a same effect as if you had unlimited inventory weight. Id have to make it local to not destroy the essence, cuz this mod atm is on the brick of it as it is. xD
So, if i was to do it like that, it would have a chance to get discovered and looted. It would not be shared container space. Also, if its local, you better have good memory of where you put stuff. xD
Ill thing about it and maybe redo the whole mod. This is a cheat utility at current state, and it was meant. Also, i cant rely on all the mods out there that could conflict, cuz this mod is what it is and its exactly as it should have been.
What other workaround is that i get a report of a conflict and make a compatibility patch for that mod.
Simple and yet keep this mods essence intact. Since you mentioned that there is a mod like mine - Craftable Cloud Storage mod - i dont think of doing something that this mod does similarly. No need for two essentially same mods.
Ill think about what i can do. Thnx for the feedbacks ofc. :)

I actually want the unrealistic lore-breaking conveniences myself, because I'm impatient and forgetful and severely distractible, but I'm curious to see what you come up with. It might be the first time that anyone has attempted quite what you described.

That should tell you that i have no idea for a proper picture for this mod. Taking a screenshot of a crate or barrel and put it as the mods show off picture didnt really sparkle to me. xD
