I still can't believe this mod hasn't been ported to SE yet. I had no idea there were still people playing the LE version. SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONVERT THIS MOD TO SE URGENT
LE is superior in many ways for what I want from the game. Conversion is easy enough too if you search out ways on how to do it. It may even work natively without direct conversion. Sometimes that is the case. Either way, you can make it work if you try.
I still don't understand why nobody has converted that Mod and posted SSE Mod page as in the Permissions and Credit section it is clearly stated that the use of assets, conversion and upload of the Mod is totally permitted. There are many famous Mods out there that are completely restrictive about that matter, but it is not the case of wSkeever Mods.
So... The most common issue I've seen here is that a lot of people desperately want this mod converted to SE. Now I attempted to do just as was suggested, which was to open the mod in the CK and save it. Now that seems all fine and dandy but... it didn't work as some claim.
I used this tutorial: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Porting_Skyrim_mods_to_Skyrim_Special_Edition
In summary, I downloaded the mod, I enabled the mod, I opened it up in the construction kit, changed the name of an item and the changed it back. I then saved over the original mode and closed it. Afterwords I re-deployed my mod list and launched my game. Nothing had changed and nothing was different. I have no idea what it is I'm not doing and anyone who asks "how" is met with dead silence.
Now, I understand for the reasonings of the ToS and that of respect, no one here can upload an edit or conversion of this mod without the permission of the original author, even if that author hasn't been on in years, has abandoned their projects or doesn't respond to messages. So instead, would someone be willing to please provide the community here with a video tutorial on how exactly to do update this mod ourselves (specifically for this mod) at least? It would be much appreciated.
hey, so im breaking the silence, cause i had problems converting my mod with CK my self, so i used this. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316?tab=description and it worked like a charm ;) it's very simple to use and there are description on how to do it, there are a few manual installs for CK you need to get, but it still takes no time, just follow the descriptions :) happy modding :D
Glad it worked like a charm for you but I followed all the instructions in that mod and ended up with a mod that shows up in vortex but not ingame no matter the deployment method. Any -specific- instructions?
I know this is technically not for SSE, but I see some people were able to "easily" convert it to SSE. I tried it myself, several times. No errors, but when loading the mod, it just doesn't show up ingame. Any chance for someone to actually upload whatever files they created "easily"? As in the entire mod, already converted? Of course, preferably the mod creator does that under the Skyrim Special Edition game, but I figure they haven't already done it because they no longer do mods, at least for skyrim.
There doesn't seem to be anything limiting modifying / updating the mod in the poster's Permissions thing. Literally says you're allowed to make it work with other games or update it as long as you credit the creator.
