Anyone looking for the armor slots ui mod, it has been updated & is here on the nexus. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/84957/? It also has some other goodies.
Bummer that I can't enchant them. I needed something to take the place of some boots that I can't enchant. Oh well. Not what it was intended for. Thanks
UPDATE Well, that wasn't too hard. Opened the esp in the CK Double clicked the gos3emptyslots38 Right side in Keywords R click & choose add Picked ArmorBoots
Now I can add muffle. So thanks for doing most of the work for what I needed.
Oh, wow, so glad this exists already so I don't have to make it! I was wanting something just like this for use with Wet & Cold; there are some NPCs where I don't like them equipping hoods as it looks weird, and I'm just picky enough to go through their outfits in the CK and fill them up with things like this.
I have started creating a mod to add an invisible necklace to the game for the purpose of having a simple fix for the neckline void issue that seems to be common for people who use custom race mods. There are other solutions posted about the forums and here as well, but they all seem to involve making manual edits to files or creating your own mesh edits, etc. I'd like a simpler, less invasive solution. I've noticed that when you equip a necklace or cape, the neck void disappears (or rather, is filled in), so I thought creating an invisible necklace I can carry around with me and equip when I don't want to visibly wear a necklace or cape would be ideal. Unfortunately, I haven't made it very far in that mod development. This may be a possible alternative, so thank you for your work.
Sure makes me glad I never decided to bother with custom races. I'm kinda confused about what you said, though. Does my mod actually help with the gap on the neck?
I'm not sure what you meant by that on your description page. If you're referring to all the empty slots and you don't know what they're used for; they are used for armour and weapons.
Mods that create new items uses these slots.
Dual Sheath Redux's default slot is 60 for it's Left Meshes, but I use it with slot 59 so it doesn't conflict with Left Hand Rings.
Wearable Lanterns uses slot 57.
Left Hand Rings uses slot 60.
A perfect example of an armour mod that uses a lot of the empty slots: Ashara Princes of the Wood - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18008
Scroll down on the description and they have listed each item and which slot it uses.
That's not what I meant. I meant it like "I don't know what my mod would be useful for other than emptying slots for hotkeyed outfits."
I use armors with many parts and that's exactly why I made this mod. Here's an example: Outfit#1 is uses the standard item slots and a cape in slot#50 When I press the hotkey for Outfit#2 it overwrites the standard items, but leaves the cape. Now I can just add "Empty Slot 50" from this mod to the item list of Outfit#2 and then pressing the hotkey will also remove the cape.
Anyway, I kinda wanted to write an explanation of what slots are in the description but now you saved me the trouble, so thanks for that. ^^
Ooh, haha. You should probably still write that in the description though. You'd be surprised what a lot of users don't know. Most people don't read the posts/comments already written. Plus if a lot of people are interested in this, eventually this will fall to other pages. And you know people aren't going to scroll through this section. Lazy.
Also, your response is a better explanation of what exactly this mod does. IMHO, you should put that on the description.
I intend to update the description soon, but many people don't read even that. There was already one person asking about something that I had already answered in the description. And it's not even a long read yet.
Here’s another use for your invisible items. I whipped up a few heavy armor versions and gave them to Stenvar so that he wouldn’t wear his armor in the bathhouse. (He still carries his ginormous axe in there, though. But no armor is a major improvement.)
With slots 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, and 42 equipped he has invisible calves and forearms, I’m sure because I’ve done something wrong. He looks fine with invisible stuff plus heavy armor ragged trousers.
That's nice, I never use followers so I didn't think of this before. As for the invisible calves/forearms, it seems to happen with all the males when the one for slot#32 (body) is equipped. I'll see if I can fix this. No promises, though. :\
Update: Good news! It seems the male body needed the slots for the calves and forearms (34 and 38 ). I added a new item that uses all 3 slots and displays correctly. Have fun with your naked follower.

Thank you so much for sharing this!
