It shows if there's an issue with the mod and/or something the author may have overlooked that the author is more likely to call the person stupid rather than actually improve the mod.
In other words, his mod is at bigger risk of being shitty because he isn't capable of taking advice or criticism.
That being said this is a simple texture mod so I'll probably still download it and try it out. But if this was something more complex/advanced like a Gameplay mod the authors behaviour would of drawn me away right of the bat because it would most likely be his bias interpretation of good gameplay, not what actually makes good gameplay.
EDIT: Actually on further comment reflection it seems apparent the author has taken zero effort to respond to any comments, or show more pictures even when repeatedly asked to. That combined with his attitude above has me too worried this is in truth a shitty mod that the author is getting defensive over.
Interesting.... I read a lot of naysayers on here complaining that it is just sharpened and no other screenshots for comparison, and many defenders of the mod author as well. But there are no user pics posted of the new textures from those defenders. Its been a year and a half, so it is obvious that the mod author isn't going to upload any more images, but with 67,968 unique downloads, I'm sure someone out there must have screenshots of dragons w/ these texture updates.
edit: tried the upload image function, but nothing will be displayed until the mod author approves. Obviously by now he/she has no further interest in this mod, otherwise at least 1 user image would have made it past.
As a texture artist (Tutor at A.I.) it does seem that you took a sharpen and maybe a dodge tool to the original textures, and upped the saturation levels. Be that as it may, its still free, and its still an improvement. It makes them stand out if nothing else. I would advise you post more pictures however; only having two in a TEXTURE mod makes many people uneasy.
And if you want to prove you did more than people are accusing you of, you can always post what you did. It isn't hard, and its better than just telling people they're wrong with no proof.

I am going to install my Skyrim in a few days and then I'll try your mod.
I hope it work well. Just wait...
Cheers.
Did you use the textures from bethesda's texture pack?
