Version 1.4 is a very small update but restores Delphine's dragon burial mound map. I had commented out code that enables it and intended to enable it at a later stage and forgot. Now it gets enabled before you get to her secret room.
If you've already passed that point of the quest and want the map you can use the console commands "PRID FF228" and then "Enable" to do what the script failed to do at the right time.
Hello, Came back after taking a break, n installed this, but not the settings in mcm keep reverting to 0 ? Going to scour posts see if someone else had this .. Finished looking back thru n someone on pg 13 had the same problem , but no reply, so no one knew either o.O
Re Edit, Oh bugger me, now its making a liar out of me , I disabled the mod, moved it down re enables and n ow the settings stick <_> o.o
There are a lot of newer mods that are making changes to the main quest. So this now has conflicts with many of those. Changing load order can make this mod work, but might break the others so you should try to determine which of your other mods are conflicting if it having this will break anything important for the other mods.
Finally, I can do other staff before the greybeards shout DOVAHKIINNN, however I try to finish the civil war, when I joined stormcloak/legion then there's a mission that need to go to Jarl Balgruuf, he always respond "Not now". So I cannot proceed my missions. Any clue?
The game intentionally creates connections between the civil war and main quest. You won't be able to complete the civil war quests during certain parts of the main quest. That's one of the points. Since this isn't a Civil War overhaul, there's nothing that can be done about it other than to work part of the way through the main quest.
Here we are 301 hours into my second playthrough with this mod enabled and I have the exact same bug which caused me to abort the first playthrough with this mod enabled. Yeah, it's a known bug. The third guard when "return to Eltrys" for the last time is not present and is replaced by some Legate blathering on about joining the Legion. So much for skipping Season Unending which auto enrols you in 2BF9A (CWImperialFaction) if you haven't picked a side already.
in a BAT file "after" Season Unending is my usual get-out during in excess of 7000 logged hours playing this game. (Hate to guess the real total.) I might point out that in all my time I have never encountered this particular bug before and, also, I don't use the unofficial patch any more after it went too far and exceed its original remit. So, what exactly did you "carry over", cdcooley? (Hi btw) and, do you yourself ever indulge the rather pathetic CW quest?
Also, if you ever update this, you might like to enable Lydia's Room (WhiterunPlayerHousePackageHouseCarl Xmarker) seperately to Lydia. It creates havoc buying a modified Breezehome - floating objects, missing walls etc. - unless it's enabled. So much so that I didn't bother with buying Breezehome prematurely this second (about to be aborted) playthrough.
Still endorsed your mod, though, cdcooley. I know you do good things. My problems probably stem from using my own patches and not the unofficial patch. Mine have worked perfectly for thousands of hours and only fix things which are evidently broken - no interpretations here
Ah well, it's time for my umpteenth restart I guess. Fun times!
Right... I've restarted this game soooo..... many times, usually when my build is simply too good and the game gets to easy. Boring!
I don't use "no reload" but I do religiously start over on the odd occasion I have, umm.., perished - unless it's from a cart or some such spazzing out and launching me into the ethers. Like that time I accidentally landed on a salmon whilst jumping up a waterfall. Wheeeeee .....
I'll have to watch out for the bug then, but I've not been bothered with it so far, I usually avoid Eltrys like the plague but once he catches me I get him killed as soon as possible (pathetic forced quest) I do like to keep the woman alive at the beginning though and all too often get accosted by the dumb Orc telling me about Vampires while she get's stabbed to death...
But, Yeah, I know what you mean when going through the same motions E V E R Y S I N G L E S T A R R R T... (especially if you've got a ton of MCM's) but I've found that using RAS (Random Alternative Start) makes things fresh'er, (but even that might bring up the same starting point more often than I'd wish for... even though there are 400 odd startpoints) As for the Cart spazzing out... 'No silly physics damage' stops all that nonsense.. (just in case you've not tried it)
Though I can't play a dead guy through my own errors, I do on occasions splash through lippy guards 'for therapeutic reasons'... or jump off a very high place 'just for the feeling of going down' then reload and get back to the serious stuff of 'Mah Playin'
It's still a great game once you include a plethora of mods, so hats off to Bethesda for giving us a good framework to hang stuff on

You could try this, as a way of avoiding it, making things more pleasant, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/106065 Somebody's elses problem mod ..? I used to hate that as well, forced quests in general stink so scoured nexus for delayed / delaying quest mods, this mod I use on both skyrim and sse, Funny on sse to hear inigo whinge about the ending " stupid dungeon, stupid draguar, and no stupid horn"
Well Zuliczek123 JustxAwake is on the right track with her/his comment but perhaps a little abrasive. And I know 'frustration' can lead to 'spikey' posts.
MANUAL INSTALLATION A general guide of where to put files is in 'Data' Now if you have the standard 'fitment' of Skyrim you will find that in... (usually on your C drive) Program files (x86) > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Skyrim... then search for the (yellow) folder called... 'Data' (probably near the top'ish)
copy the downloaded mod as is to a new Folder on your desktop (perhaps you could name the new folder 'Opener' or 'Bob' or 'cake'... it doesn't matter, it just so you can find it) Extract the downloaded file using 'Extract here' with 7Zip/WinRar/Whatever you use. : Read the Readme : Copy the (in this case) BSL and the ESP and 'plonk' them into 'Data' : Done... play You would do well to look for information on installing mods through mod managers and also through Manual installation and load order, understanding what's going on is helpful and will enhance your game allowing you to highlight, isolate and fix problems yourself.
If you ever think about adding another option to delay the main quest, would have a minimum # of times that you completed the "Words of Power" quest before moving onto "A Blade in the Dark" work? Reason being is that Words of Power represent the Dragonborn getting more powerful as time goes on, while still turning his gears in place in trying to figure out how to move forward.
Or you can place a stop within "The Throat of the World", where Arngeir does not teach you the shout, but Paarthunax has not summoned you to The Throat of the World. Explanation could be Paarthunax does not believe you to be strong enough.
It is an idea, maybe a dumb one, but it something I had in mind when thinking about how Words of Power was essentially unused in my previous play throughs.
Perhaps, instead of using how many times the Words of Power quest was done, check the number of words of power that have been unlocked? Would make things more compatible for those of us playing no-fast-travel characters who don't want to spend the next 15 hours stomping up and down the mountain just to unlock the quest.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, and I'd love to see another delay implemented in this mod, but everyone plays differently, and running up and down the mountain to talk to the Greybeards when there's no shortcut between High Hrothgar and Ivarstead just sounds like tedious make-work to me. Yes, I know, I'm the one who chooses to play without fast traveling, but there are a lot of us out there. Sure, some might enjoy running up the mountain a number of times for a new word of power, but for others, just checking how many words we've got unlocked would be a good delay.
Or, perhaps, combining both ideas and adding a third option might work. Allow the player to choose a delay based on how many times they've taken the Words of Power quest, as well as how many words of power they have unlocked, and also based on how many times they have used shouts. Three potentially different ways to slow down that meeting with Paarthurnaax that would be infinitely adaptable to any player, any character, any play-style.
Basically, it would push our characters into embracing their Dragonborn heritage, whether reluctantly or not. Learning words of power, unlocking words of power, and using those words of power.
Irrilet missing when i revisit Farengar for Dragon Rising quest. when i move to her RefID, i just moved to the last spot she was running to Farengar. is it normal? because i don't want to ruin my save for doing the next step of the quest. Irrileth is important for another quest.
EDIT: i waited 1 hour inside Dragonsreach before entering Farengar's room, and this fixes the missing Irrileth. ?Perhaps this bug happens because i cheated the delayed time.

Thank you to CDCooley for sharing the source code to allow someone like myself to look this up. It helps a ton!!

Yeah, probably how many words you have unlocked would be better.
I just wish we had teleportation spell to High Hrothgar, even a shout, to cut out the trek up the mountain.
