I don't recall the specifics as it was 10 years ago, but I know it consisted of editing the brightness, contrast, transparency (maybe), and hue (maybe) of the textures, and a little bit of actual painting to create detail where the original textures didn't have it. Textures that are supposed to be tinted typically govern the gamma setting for the tint that's being applied, so getting the gamma of the mid-tones close to 100 (a little bit darker than halfway between black and dayglow) would be a good place to start. After that it's just trial and error.
Of, course you can make any changes you like. After all, you are the artist. For me, though, 1.1 would be pretty hard to improve on. I've had the original for a long time and wouldn't care to go back to the vanilla for any reason. It's one of my all time favorite mods because it does what it says it will do, no muss, no fuss. Every mod author should aspire to such "apparently" effortless transparency. I realize there was a lot of effort in making the mod, but none of it is passed down to the player. Perfection.
well that is one thing that people who don't make mods don't understand.. the CK is very and I do mean Very buggy also everyone uses unique setups soa mod might work for you but be bugged for another player..It's impossible for people to know everyone's mods and pc setups ..This issame thing for game coders too but most people don't understand that
I want to make my character like legolas in lotr so, i was wondering if you could make a version which makes the brows completely black even in the case of blond hair. By the way dled + endorsed.
Not everyone necessarily has eyebrows that match their proper head hair. My hair is dark with a distinct red tint noticeable in sunlight, my eyebrows are always darker brown to almost black looking, and my facial hair is noticeably red in any light. I am not blond, so I don't know if most natural blonds have blond brows, but I've never assumed people with dark brows have dyed their hair.
Is it possible to make variations and have them randomly update to NPCs? Two different "hair colors" as far as the game is concerned, but really only the brows differ: for example some with variant A where eye brows are modified blond, and some with blond variant B where eyebrows stay how they were. I haven't done mods on hair, so I don't know if each NPC has to specifically have hair color set. Otherwise I doubt it would be worth the effort to manually change a bunch of NPC's instead of replacing the already used files with the one or the other preferred style.
At last! Now my character looks natural, without me getting the feeling that she is a fake blonde norse ^^ And I agree with Thanya: next step eyelashes?
