Just wanted to post an update. I'm still working on the replacement version. It's taking longer than anticipated. So far I've created a new version of the chopping block without the phony wood props and replaced all the chopping blocks in the vanilla world with the new version and I've also replaced all the wood pile props in the exterior world cells with actual piles of wood. Now I have to tackle the interior cells. After that I want to add a woodcutter's axe at the chopping blocks where there isn't one.
Could you perhaps make a version with LESS woodcutter's axes? I play with frostfall and Dynamic Things Enchanced, so the axe degrades with use. But since there are so many axes, that barely makes any difference.
Dynamic things takes care of the woodpiles (they are turned into containers with Deadwood and Firewood in them), but it would be mire immersive to have them as separate firewood.
I'd rather see MORE axes. In a place like Skyrim, an axe can mean life or death (especially with Frostfall), so you'd expect axes to be everywhere, and available from all dealers. Instead, axes tend to be as rare as hen's teeth. It's truly perplexing. While Frostfall allows you to make an axe, unless you're playing a smithing character, most folks would just buy one from a dealer.
Hello. Sorry for the lack of updates. My game became unstable to the point of not being able to exit buildings. I know this is a commonly known issue, but I've tried all the common solutions and none of them are working. It may be due to the fact that I have about 140 mods installed. I don't know. Anyway, I don't think the issue is the result of my mod as it is very simple. While working on this mod I've also been installing other mods. I don't know if the issue is the result of any particular mod or just mod overload. Anyway, I don't want to put out an updated version of my mod until such time as I can verify it's not crashing the game.
Please note the version that is currently posted here is fine, it's the next version I've been working on that is an unknown.
You should consider using Mod Organizer, as it lets you have multiple profiles. You can always make a new profile and have a fresh vanilla game to test mods.
Fake blocks, with lootable areas that respawn every few days. For lower end P.C.'s
Full on respawning replacers, for the people with more powerful P.C.'s
Some people run their weak P.C.'s to their limit, having to cut out stuff to get them to run more stable. The fake block would be perfect for them, but still adding immersion to the blocks...
I didn't change anything that was already there. I only added new lootable firewood.
I like the idea of replacing the phony Hollywood prop type firewood piles with actual lootable pieces of firewood, but I'm not sure people would like that.
I'm working on an alternate version that replaces all chopping blocks with a new version that doesn't have the non-interactive prop wood (already done that). And I'm working on replacing all chopped wood props with actual lootable chopped wood. It will probably take me a few days to finish it. I'm not sure if I should remove this mod and replace it with the new version or add the new version as an alternative to the original that just adds some lootable chopped wood to the existing props.

I'm really looking forward to this update.
