Dear all, I've lost all sense to continue working on ENB after a little over a year of coding. I've uploaded the all old versions of Tranquility and Serenity. I wish you all a good journey and lots of fun. For those interested in a bit more performance, you can use Serenity ENB EFX enbbloom.fx file with Tranquility too, and it will give you a nice performance boost. The current enbbloom.fx of Serenity ENB EFX has a bug where Saturation control isn't working (I removed code while tweaking but forgot to add it back). You may get an updated file in the Files section.
I know how you feel, but even so I'm looking forward to seeing you around wherever that may be. Thanks for your continued efforts, you set an example to many of us with your stellar work. All the best!
Thanks for all your great work on the weather patch and more. This game community continues to thrive because of efforts like yours! You're welcome to come back anytime
Thanks for all your great work, your presets were allways some of my favorites and it was allways a pleasure to read your powerfull but still clean and understandable code. I wish you all the best for your future snsmac
I was hoping you were going to make a Fallout ENB called "Fertility" (bringing color back to the wasteland) but I guess that was hoping for too much. Thanks for making the best ENB for Skyrim though, it is really the only reason why I keep playing because you make it look better than most games released today.
Regardless, to chime in with others, I wish you the best in your future. You are really a talented individual and I am sure you will find success in whatever you decide to do next. You deserve it!!!! =)
Well deserved rest. Your last work, Extended FX is a masterpiece: absolutely gorgeous and still performance friendly. The night views are absolutely beautiful and I'm going to play around a lot. Kudos to you!
2020 - Tried other ENBs, but I always come back to Serenity. Using ENB version 0.366 with no issues. Even combined it with Vivid Weathers/Natural Lighting Vivid Atmospherics and it's working. Awesome preset. Thanks.
For those going through a drawback and returning to this, again, after a period of hating life for wasting over five thousand hours on this damn game and feeling that no other setting really matches what Serenity provides, there is a way to get it to work in this blessed modern day. Several ways in fact.
1. Easy and simple: Grab an old binary. Version 0.262 works fine (thank you, Asgaard111111!) and deal with the fact that some "advanced" effects such as Rudy's More Lights For ENB, will not work. 2. Get the newest version (at the moment of writing, this would be v0.389), get into the Skyrim installation folder, grab dxgi.fx and dxgi.dll and remove or rename them. In addition to this, disable this preset's depth of field (can be done from the ingame interface too for on-the-spot results). 3. Get the newest version of the binary, be a rude douche and pluck all of the good things from prod80's work, then mix and match with those presets which have the newer things integrated and the older issues solved. If you do this step, this is for your use only. Don't insult those that've coded this by sharing.
? Compatible with (will not cause crashes and/or blinding, but will alter the preset in a way or two): - Morning Fogs Refined - Real Clouds - Vivid Weathers - Enhanced Lights and FX without the weather module
? In addition to the above, would suggest the Particle Patch by mindflux. There were some strange auras going on prior to reapplying it, likely due to previously installing mods. Still, if you encounter some halo-like brightness, try this. Might fix things.
As with a few comments below, I too have encountered the strange 30fps lock. To deal with this, open up the enblocal.ini and ctrl+F this line: EnableVSync= If it's set to "1", switch it to "0". This should solve it, but, if it doesn't, and I have found this purely by accident, go to your gpu control panel, Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > find tesv.exe and scroll down to Vertical Sync. Pick "Use the 3D application setting" from the drop-down menu. Mine was for some reason set to Adaptive.
? Finally, the SweetFx and Steam overlay problem. Yes, the two don't like each other. If you want SweetFx to work unhinged, disable Steam Overlay. Take screenshots with something else. The built-in PrintScreen button should work if you don't have a beef against .bmp files. Here's a tiny example of the difference in rendering (bloom and depth of field disabled, paper travel lantern equipped, the standard "now I'm actually playing the game" setup):
Final thoughts? Could've made several presets from scratch during the time of organizing things to make this one work, but no, I wanted THIS ONE. Just this one. I love you, prod80. You've ruined me.
Been a while, this was my favorite enb for Skyrim, now I'm wondering if someone can port it to SSE, if I even remotely began to know how I would contact the mod author and ask for his permission and port it myself, but I don't. I have been using Skyrim Re-Enhanced in SSE, it has a similar look but a much larger performance cost and because Re-Enhanced requires ELFX (Enhancer Only) you run into lighting bugs, CTDs and infinite loading screens after playing for a couple hours. Anyone know how to port this to SSE if the author gives permission? or if that is even possible, they use a different version of the enb binary, which I assume also use different version of DirectX. Anyone?
Years later and still, absolutely nothing compares to this preset. Really wish it worked with the updates, as I've utterly failed at finding and producing anything that resembles it. Tamriel simply feels wrong without it.
If anyone knows the enb series version this worked with, please reply to this comment.
Not sure what it is but this ENB seems to cause a color tone difference between the heads on PC's and NPC's. The head will appear a tone lighter than the body in skin colors. Very noticeable on Mer and darker skin tones. Still love this ENB and definitely my favorite but the skin discoloration is just too much for now. Does anyone know how to fix?

Your ENB's are best of the best.
