This may be a dumb question, but how to finish Zfel City and get the key from the Thane? I'm stuck in that Throne room in Zfel City and have no clue where to go :/
The Thane's body is on the floor in the throne room? I found some bodies (at least two soldiers and a robed guy), but i couldn't seem to find any key from their bodies. Also, i climbed up the stairs to get to the throne chair and try to find anything/bodies, but couldn't seem to find any either.
Oh, he's at the base of the staircase, off to the side; You can see him in one of the screenshots! He's wearing the dawnguard armor. He has the key to the manor on him.
If you still can't find the key, just imagine you did and head back up to the manor door, use the ` key, click the door and type 'unlock' to get in.
I have a terrible Dexter's Lab syndrome. Just lost interest and moved on to the next thing is all. XD; Hence I gave you modders permission to do what you'd like in the future! :3
;alsdkfj I REALLY LOVE THIS TOWN. With 2k textures and an ENB it *definitely* hits my performance, but it's so worth it! The (logical) layout, A+ cluttering (graveyard ), and tiny backstory by the Manor are all wonderful, but the moment I turned a corner and saw the ship - wow. I totally was not expecting it! (Plus the walkway to the ship looks amazing with waves. And have I said I love your cluttering? The inside of the ship was great.)
Heh, it's been so long I'm not really sure what to do to update it. I'm all ears though, just in case! I'm experimenting on a lot of new things with a new town in Winterhold I'm crafting, ai packages and whatnot. What might you like out of an updated Weistone?
boat with the possibility to travel to other cities reduce or fade the blood splatter on the will of the Thane as i cannot read it at all. maybe a follow up to that you notify someone of his demise, also letting them know you are the Thane or Laird [or both really] you could enable the area for radient quests, having one of the NPCs give radient quests [don't ask me, I have no idea how, but it can be done] a teleport to Weistone Manor spellbook inside the manor?
and if you're really adventurous; multi adoption friendly and some [2-6] kids beds, maybe 2 add'l beds for followers? you would have to add a room or 3 to the manor of course.
Good ideas actually. In fact I just started a complete overhaul of this mod; New buildings, new walls, new centerpiece and manor. New everything, really. It always takes a while but I hope it'll be well worth it!
i love the town but i find it a bit too cramped specifically the bridge at the entrance can you raise it up a bit and remove the wooden path on top, and slide the house to the right of the bridge a bit more towards the wall
i could barely see that there was a wall even there but it was a snowstorm outside lol
since this place used to be a port can you extend the docks on the left side passed the mine (add that travel boat balloran mentioned)
the worst problem i had about this whole mod was the DRAGONS...i had a triple fight after i came out of mine and they just floated thru the buildings and didnt even land on them they tried to land in the city(hence my more room suggestion) and got stuck all over the place.
ps: i dont know if it was intentional but i spent 20 mins trying to open that barred door above the waterfals in the city underground could you perhaps make that elevator thats barred up an exit leading to outskirts of town.
Goodness, that barred door looks like a terribly unintentional red herring. XD;
This place is terribly outdated for sure, at the time I didn't even know how to make dragon landing platforms. A certain thing that needs changing in 2.0, which is taking a long time since it is expanding the place quite a bit.
As Clefj has moved on to greater things he has handed over Weistone and Port Amon to me. I will be uploading a combo of these two towns updated by me to my Pirates page with them connected into my sailing network.
However there will also be a standalone version that doesn't need Pirates.

He asks for suggestions and you come up wth teleport with spellbook in manor. Might I suggest adding a unique iron sword that is not unique just renamed?
This is a really nice village. I haven't explored every nook and cranny of it yet, but what I've seen of it looks great. I'm also pleased to say it's compatible with the "Hroldan Nightgate Sawmill Villages" mod town Ravenscar Hollow, which adds a fishing village just west of Weistone Settlement.
ok how does this work? it shows version 1.0 BUT you have 1.5 as an update that is 10 times as large as 1.0 so do we get both and overwrite? or just install the 1.5You really need to make this clear in the desc OR on the file itself to darn confusing
I love this town and the nav meshes work perfectly for NPC, except when trying to clime up to the clock tower. Still, this is one of the best modded town out there. Thank you good sir. Cheers
I have been mining to ask for lockable doors for certain residence that are not suppose to be opened at night as well as that one merchant outside to go to sleep. Basically full AI packages. Again, thanks for this.
I've had this mod for a while now and I figured I should come back and actually say something. This is an incredibly under appreciated mod and by far one of the most interesting settlements out there. Great job Clefj.
