Does this mod have a MCM menu? If it doesn't can you make one?

No, none of my mods have MCM menus, since I don't work with SKSE.

Sorry, I don't take mod requests, but anyone can take my sources and implement the MCM menu for this mod.

Would it be possible for you to release the source for the scripts?

After the next version, I think. If you are on the rush, you can PM me for sources.

Oh I can just wait, it's not a big deal. Thank you for the offer, though!

Ok. Here is the draft concept for a lighter version:

    1) Eat / Drink / Sleep restrictions will be removed
    2) The shout magnitude and duration will be increased a bit (according to how many souls do you have), but not too much
    3) Every time you lose focus, you keep the ability [Maybe not], but you will also lose a single dragon soul
    4) [Maybe not] You are able to restore your focus quickly. But if you fail, you will lose it completely until the next meditation
    5) [Maybe not] If the character is not moving or talking, it's possible to meditate nearby
    6) Player can still use the Oper Powered version of the Focus if he wants, and it will take all the dragon souls

+1, mostly as to sleep, as with need mod = quite troublesome (even if, it would mostly require one to set the game to a quite longer day/night cycle ?).

This said, could you not go with an MCM menu instead ?

Could you create spells that have the same affect separate from vanilla as i have recently started a play through where my mage character has been studding in a life of seclusion in the mountains and had finally decided to head to the college and found how much more powerful he is than his fellow class mates

This mod doesn't modify spells or shouts. It's completely perk based.

There are already several popular magic mods that contains powerfull spells, I suggest to explore them on nexus.

This is great although, I think you should make the last two ways to lose focus optional. I have survival mods, and you need to eat and drink a lot, as well as sleep so it would probably not make me want to use it as much. Also does Every shout get amplified?

Yeah, Eat, sleep, drink factors will be removed

All the shouts that have magnitude or duration.
For example, there is no magnitude in the "Call Dragon" shout, but the dragon should stay longer with the player.

Some complex modded shouts that involve scripts and explosions may not be affected, it depends on how the author implemented them.

I like the idea but it seams like there's too much BS to actually make it worthwhile. I think one should be able to move the mouse while doing the consecutive shouts. I have my mouse set to a high sensitivity so it is likely for my mouse to move without me noticing. I also like to move my camera around to watch my character doing stuff. For the 'no living thing nearby' there should be a way to tell whether nothing is nearby. Maybe a power? And/Or maybe certain creatures/NPCs should be okay. For instance The Greybeards or deer. I would love to "meditate" on High Hrothgar just like the Greybeards. Also the things to lose focus should be removed altogether and replaced with a timer like "Shouts are stronger for 30 minutes". Seriously, I give enough of my patience with Skyrim as it is. I also don't like the loss of dragon souls. That itself would be enough for me not to use this. I would love to see a 'light' version sometime. Tracking for now.

      > Also the things to lose focus should be removed altogether

Lol? This was the only idea that forced me to create this mod (like the shout is connected to the mental state), so these things won't be "removed", sorry. However, you can do whatever you want with the source files when I release them.

I think people misunderstand the term "stronger". This mod makes shouts not just "stronger", it make them Alduin-scale. Like nothing can stand in your way.

That's why it will be very unbalanced to allow player use this ability all the time.

Which is precisely why its a mostly useless mod. People download stuff like this to actually use it. When its too hard to use it ends up not getting used. Don't make the shouts op, lower how quickly you lose focus and you will have many less complaints. I like the idea behind this mod a great deal. Its got a very Jedi feel. Problem is with its implementation it sounds far more frustrating than fun. Something more along the lines of Meditate for x time will give you a buff for y long at z magnitude increase. Doing a, b, or c will remove the buff. Tune x/y/z/a/b/c till they are fun to use instead of frustrating and you will have a winner.

livnthedream, that's exactly what I was thinking. It needs to be something that would be FUN to use, rather than frustrating.

this is a cool idea but maybe losing focus could have a warning mode for you to regain your composure before the punishment begins. =P

The focus can be lost very fast. Actually, you are losing it in a non-linear way. I don't think that a message can help :/

Here is the first preview with debug messages:

So...having a Needs mod that requires the character to Eat, Drink, and Sleep basically means you can't use this mod

I don't think you can keep the focus more than a few game hours anyway.

I am concerned about this once sentence... "All the souls will be lost when you lose Focus". Do you really mean to say that we'll use our hard earned dragon souls? Using Deadly Dragons, this is a deal breaker for me. I'm currently playing a level 40 character and still struggle to battle a dragon. A single soul is immensely precious to me.

Do you mind providing an option / an alternative download without losing your souls? Or did I maybe misunderstand something? Other than that this seems like a brilliant mod.

You understood the sentence correctly. This is a price for power. To be clear, with this mod you are able to kill those dragons with a single shout, no matter how "deadly" the creature is (if you have enough souls, of course).

Why do you need souls anyway? They are pretty useless if you unlocked all the shouts already.

      > Do you mind providing an option / an alternative download without losing your souls?
      I'll consider the suggestion.

If there was a hardcore mod for Shouting, this would be it.
