I'm having problems with this. (as well as several other ENBS I've tested.)
First of all, whenever I submerge the player camera under water the screen goes totally blank.
The second problem is that when I open up the ENB menu with shift+enter, and toggle on the Depth of Field, it doesn't turn on at all.
Now, I did do a bunch of searching on this, and for the ENB water problem people have said to either open the skyrimprefs.ini and disable bDoDepthOfField and iRadialBlurLevel=0, or to use the Green Water Fix mod.
Here's the thing, I was able to use Clarity without either of these problems before I had to uninstall everything. (hard drive died.) The screenshots I uploaded here are proof of that. I didn't need an extra mod to see under water, and I could turn DOF on and off as needed.
I've just reinstalled Skyrim again a few days ago, as well as tried to reinstall Clarity 3 times today.
Your problem is that you're using the wrong ENB binary version. This ENB works best with .262
I ran into the same problem when I ran a different ENB on some of the newer binaries, it's because there's a new underwater feature that was added that isn't configured in the old ENB presets.
Put the bDoDepthOfField and iRadialBlurlevel back to their default settings, they are not the issue.
it's been over a year, but I finally fixed the problem! I read in the Project ENB posts that you just need to go to the same location that an ENB preset's d3d9.dll & enbhost.exe files are kept and find the file named "dxgi.dll". Rename it to "d3d11.dll" and any windows 10 sweetfx problems should be solved.
I do not have old skyrim anymore since windows 10 really messed up enb for me, so I can't be much help to any of you anymore. If I ever get it working the same I will revisit these enb uploads I have.
I just wanted to say the reason I called it clarity enb is because I wanted the nights to be bright and clear because my display at the time kind of sucked, and I had glare from other light sources. I got 3 messages telling me to change the name because it is terrible, well... that's the name.
If you never got answer i think him is refer to overbright or oversatured and maybe heavy impact on performance so is not colorfull and run well even on low and medium pc
Super late reply, but if anybody else is reading this godsp33d6 is right. By cheesy effects I meant overly bright colors, super bloom, lens flares, depth of field, and so on. Those effects can look very nice especially in screenshots, but for actually playing the game I didn't really enjoy them as I felt they were often very cheesy and impacted performance too heavily. Just a personal preference. Ironically, when special edition was released it added additional "cheesy" effects such as lens flare and depth of field so I'm probably in the minority when I say I don't like those effects.
Thank you (both) for the answer (s). I feel your pain with dof. I also dislike ssao as well. Everything looks like a diorama box and I feel that I'm in a Rankin Bass cartoon. Love your preset and you changed your handle.
Well here's my reply from 2021 if you looking for something erase depth of field ambient occlusion and such things from enb you can search on my page the mod Fps Mega Boost it erase some heavy effects from enb while give you a massive boost for fps while playing with Enb or without enb.
I really like this ENB, lightweight and good-looking! However, I have a really annoying issue; whenever I am underwater, I can't see anything. It's completely one solid color and I have no idea where I am going. Disabling the ENB in-game doesn't help either. I also have the issue that lucmac mentioned: "error x1507 failed to open source file data/shaders/natural color.fxh" in the in-game ENB menu.
you should try that mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14007/? , it only work if you play game in fullscreen, if you force enb to launch game in fullscreenboderlesswindow that mod is not working and you only try to set bDoDepthOfField=0 in your SkyrimPrefs.ini
This enb is amazing I only have one complaint. When I use this enb, it makes the main menu and the perk menu dark. Does anybody know a fix to this? when I disable the enb using shift + F12, they get bright again.
That Night Eye mod won't be getting any updates since it already fixed the problem. And as for SweetFX, it's not just text files, just copy and paste all the files in the rar file for this mod as he said.
I installed everything and did everything you said and now my skyrim cant open, keeps saying failed to initialize renderer, unkown error creating the renderer... what can i do to fix this
Nvm i fixed it but there is another problem my game freezing during Loading screens when i have this enb on, it doesnt crash but the freezing makes loading screens take that much longer, i have 16GB RAM if thats at all important
God fucking dammit, you're the worst kind of people on the internet, many have the same problem as you and even though you fixed it, you don't give a s#*! about helping the others, "nvm i fixed it"
im here to say this enb ist fucking awesome dosnt kill my fps to much like others... i can run the game on 60 fps and the others enb put my in 20fps lol whit this preset i can play on 50 fps not bad now time to install textures....
BTW if you have problems to running in windows 10 this or other preset maybe you wannna do this change dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll :D byeee and good luck modding skyrim !!
Thank you for this! It's the best ENB I've tried. It looks absolutely beautiful and doesn't kill my FPS. In fact, I have barely any difference in performance. I had the underwater problem too but renaming dxgi.dll worked for me. Once again, thank you!
How to setting color and turn off sepia? I know there are instructions on this mod front page and i did everything mentioned there but it didn't change anything. I'm a noob, forgive me
Love this ENB but the nights are far too bright for my liking. I'm running Vivid Weathers, which has a night darkness setting but from what I can tell the ENB overrides it and uses its own. Does anyone know how to get the Vivid Weathers effect to predominate? Or at least how to darken nights in the ENB itself?
It's been years since I've played with the settings, but if you hit shift+enter and open up the enb menu there are lots of effects you can change. There are definitely settings for ambient and directional lights at night, so you'll need to lower those. There are also some other settings that can have an impact on night time brightness, like eye adaptation or bloom.
