I can give you a few Ideas actually. If you have the know-how and the time. I think you should try and tackle like ironsights for crossbows... or maybe .... Hmm... an armour set revolved around the war bow? A light or medium armour set that has like.. replacement strings hanging off of it, some type of pogniard or stiletto hanging from one side... just spouting ideas.
Ironsights for crossbows would require redoing all crossbow animations and i don't know a thing about animations, so... An archery-themed armor is something i'd like to do in the future though.
Awesome, awesome. If I knew anything about animations I would tackle the Ironsighting issues. Really bothers me that beth kinda just added crossbows and forgot to add even a simplistic ironsight to them. Oh well. lol
Well, eight years later I read these lines. And I agree that a fine archer armor could be paired with this bow, and I know which. The Hunter Archer Armor, by Protese. It's an old mod, I know, but It marries very well with Penobscot. Protese granted me permission to modify the mod (he is no longer modding), but I'm an horrible modder. Anyway, HAA needs better meshes and textures, the legs are ok, but the torso feels too bulky and there is no material thickness in the arms, also de neck finish and texture of the mail is terrible. But overall is a nice set, unsurpassed I think.
It looks like you based this on the real life Penobscot/Wabanaki bow. Wicked good job You should add that info to your description! People might more appreciate it!
I also would appreciate it greatly if you woulf see your way thru to bring this to SSE I tried to do a convert just for me but I or the CK hosed it I loved it in LE and miss it in SSE Thanks for your Mod whatever you decide
