Vanilla Followers AI was updated to version 3.0. Overwrite the old file to the latest one. After starting the game, in the console type "StopQuest SL99IVF" and Enter, then type "StartQuest SL99IVF" and Enter. Close the console and enjoy their custom AI :)
the latest version includes the hidden healer AI and a sample of Healer AI template for a custom spell. The hidden AI uses this sample template. I assigned the hidden AI to Brother Verulus and Fjotra. Brother Verulus will use Grand Healing. If he is in combat against undeads, he will also use Guardian Circle. Fjotra will use healing hands and she can heal the player only. Their AI is initially inactive. Use the console to activate the AI. Type "StartQuest SL99OtherHealers" and Enter. You can see their behavior in the video section.
I'm sorry for my long absence. Vanilla Followers AI SSE has been uploaded. If you play Skyrim Special Edition, please use SSE version of this mod. Thank you. Vanilla Followers AI SSE: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/489/?
Too bad kharjo is not included as a tank, that follower has dialogue and a noble and perfect attitude for that role, hopefully you will consider adding him to the mod for SE Can you add the tank ai to other followers or can you only the healer and assassin?
I've been trying for days to get this to work with my custom follower. My player is a vampire so I basically copied all the serana custom AI packages, lists and quests but applied them to my custom follower. Unfortunately my custom follower is not healing me when I'm hurt. Do I need to give him certain spells or change anything else? Thanks
I wanted to experiment with making a healer follower, and after some searching around, I found this mod and your great video link that shows how to use it as a resource for a standalone follower. I just want to take a minute and say THANKS for sharing your hard work and making things so much easier for other modders.
With any luck I will be adding to the pile of healer followers on the Nexus someday soon!
Hi, I'm very interested in the Healer AI Package, but I would like a more basic version which doesn't have the different modes and such. Were I to recreate the AI package in my image and perhaps release it as part of a separate mod, like perhaps a follower mod, would you consider that the same as modifying the file for things like bug fixes in terms of permissions? I would of course credit you.
I tried to use your Healer IA for a custom follower but I have a curious issue. I starting a new game, take my follower and attack eveybody in the inn for testing.( I use Live another life)
Ok course Im dying but on reload the game crash to desktop. It only happen if I activate healer ia and give clothes(by the CK) to my follower. If she's naked, the game not crash. but on reload She is untraceable.
Someone can help me?
Ps: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native langage.
Hey man; I love the healer AI package!! So many times Illia has saved my sorry cocky ass!! I was wondering, if there is something that might make the healer AI stop working. I've noticed that after a while they stop healing me as often as before. They've let me died because they stop healing and focus more on destructive magics. I have your mod on the very bottom of my mod list, so it takes priority...right? Anyways; this has happened with Ienith and Illia both. I haven't tried Erandur or J'zargo.
This mod can be loaded anywhere after the master files(Skyrim.esm, HearthFires.esm). The healer AI(and the other custom AI) sometimes causes NPC's stuck. It will be fixed, when the AI is turned off, when the NPC performs other animations, or before we notice it. I'm working on this issue now. It seems difficult to fix it completely but I think reducing the outbreak of this issue is possible in the next update.
Yep, you're right. Illia started healing me again after a while. I don't know what caused it to start healing me again to be honest... I just remember trying to force the AI letting NPCs bash me to death. Now my favorite healer is back on the game =D.
This is a necro, but you might try using the aggression settings in a follower managing mod like EFF. If you set the follower who is a healer to be non aggressive, they will not actually attack anything. They will simply run from threats/tank threats and heal. If them attacking is jamming up the healing, this might make them behave more like a dedicated healer.
This mod is so underappreciated! I've tried all the healer follower mods and they're so buggy, overpowered or not compatible with AFT. I thought the healing spells with no magicka cost would make the game too easy, but their healing spells are actually kinda weak. I'm using several difficulty mods and it's still very easy to get killed if i get staggered, don't block in time or get knocked down. They heal a LOT slower than I take damage and they themselves can get knocked out of the fight pretty quickly.
I also appreciate that they also heal your other followers. Celestine and Cerwiden would ignore them until my health dropped.
Stenvar's mercenary ai works pretty well too.
Thank you so much for this simple and elegant mod! It needs to be on the front page
