Replying to this old comment... but just in case anyone else has this question...
You change it in the default SkyrimLauncher.exe (as opposed to just launching through skse and such) under "Options" and then you set both your Aspect Ratio and Resolution fields to match your monitor (some Resolutions won't show up unless your Aspect Ratio is set correctly.. which is why I mentioned it).
Also... you don't have to launch fully into your game this way if you use SKSE. If you set the numbers here... hit OK and then back out of the launcher. It will be all set when you fire up Skyrim with SKSE next time. >_o
Before I bother downloading, does this mod allow the window to run in 1600x900 resolution? If it relies on the sizes already in the launcher then this is useless to me since the launcher only goes up to 1440x810 which is too small. So far every mod I've found can only make the window whatever size the launcher is set to, but won't force the launcher make the window bigger. And before you ask, yes the size in the prefs.ini is set to 1600x900. The launcher ignores this and still only goes up to 1440x810. Same with SKSE. Is there any mod anywhere that will let me run the game in a maximized window that actually fills my screen? I don't care if it has a border or not. I just want to run my game in a window that is actually as big as my screen. Can anyone help?
This sentiment is repeated twice by other commenters, but I feel I could elaborate further on it.
A detailed explanation of how this works, why you created this, rather than using an existing mod like OneTweak and a comparison of the pros and cons of the implementation verses other similar mods would really be helpful to potential users. Without an explanation from either you or a reviewer, this mod will be largely overlooked. Users would be wise to be seek the value in adding a dll to Skyrim and a proven mod will more likely be chosen if a benefit to switching is not provided.
Also, the file could have easily been packed into an archive so that users could install it with NMM or other mod managers.
I do appreciate the contribution to the community at any rate.
Today, both of my fake fullscreen add-ons have stopped working for some reason. This has saved me from having to use the default fullscreen. Works flawlessly so far.
