This is great thank you, however it crashes LOOT. I could manually install it but every time I run LOOT, which is after every mod I install and uninstall, it would crash it. So for now I'm having to go without this.
Any ideas why this would be?
*UPDATE* I fixed it. There wasn't a master file associated with it. So I opened up the Creation Kit, clicked open, made sure Skyrim.esm was checked and StargateJaffaMarks.esp was checked and set as active file. Made any change to any file (be sure to set the change back) and then clicked save.
When I sort my load order with LOOT 0.6.1 while this mod is active LOOT crashes. I end up needing to use the 0.7.0 beta to sort my load order, but that gives me an error:
Cannot read "StargateJaffaMarks.esp". Details: File shorter than expected.
I don't know what that means, but it makes me worried to run my game with it.
i have no idea i don't use LOOT. i would guess that since this file has no masters linked to it (such as the skyrim.esm) this might be the warning your getting. try installing manually the mod has some texture and one script and one script source so its not to difficult to erase its stuff. the esp literally is one quest that runs one script when you use showracemenu to add the overlays to the list. it should have no other impact on your game.
the load order for this mod doesn't matter. you should be able to put it anywhere.
also obvious question you have RaceMenu and its overlays plugin installed correct? this mod will not function without it.
I definitely have Racemenu. My characters tend to end up covered in tats. But this error happens before I even load the game. Just from simple load order sorting. Manual installation won't prevent LOOT from detecting it any time I go to sort my load order, it just detects plugins & where they need to be based on their masters. & I do have to worry about load order as I have 2 mods that require being at the very bottom of it. & each time I add a new mod.
What I could try, though, is use TES5Edit to add skyrim.esm as a master to the plugin. Just to keep LOOT from freaking out on me. I don't think that would hurt anything since, as you said, this mod can go (almost) anywhere in load order.
adding the skyrim.esm as a master might fix it. as i said i dont have any experience with LOOT. if adding a master makes LOOT not flip out then let me know and i will edit the StargateJaffaTats.esp to include it.
Yup, adding Skyrim.esm fixed it, but the TES5Edit trick didn't work. I had to add it using the CK, but now it works beautifully & with no errors/crashes of LOOT!
Now then. Thank you for the wonderful mod, SG-1 is a great show. :3 I gotta watch Atlantis 1 of these days.
Sweet i am glad that worked. i am about to upload an update with deadric symbols for every daedric prince. i will make sure to add the skyrim master file to the esp when i do. ty and kudos for the feedback.
as i said in the last comment that would require a model to be made and i have no modeling skills at all. but you can use racemenu to make the tattoos gold if you want. some jaffa had gold tattoos without the gold plating. Shan'auc of the Red Hills had a tattoo like that. (http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Shan%27auc)
the Eye of Ra is one of the tattoos i added. but to make the gold plate that the first primes have would require a model to make. however you can just turn the tattoo gold. one of teal'c's exes had a gold tattoo without the gold plating.

The first is a huge download especially if take the full package but it look's to be fantastic. I did see some screenshot's of a Gould transport ship but have never seen the mod, maybe on steam but that is a pig to download from, especially if you already have 50 or more mod's.
