Some mods give gold a weight, sometimes without mentioning it. Can be a bit of a pain to fix if you're not sure of the mod that causes it, and thus a mod like this at the end of the mod list solves the problem fairly painlessly.
For those wondering how gold getting weight is a problem, I have a mod setting a coin to 0.01 Individually, fine. But if you know how to play Skyrims Economy - most have learned ways to do so by now, even a weight of 0.01 translates to 100 carry weight per 10k gold.
I have something like 865 carry weight right now, from a mix of 2 +100 carry weight perks, Steed stone, Bandolier items and Stamina levels. I'd be losing something like 410 of that due to 0.01 gold weight alone otherwise
---------- This mod can also be useful as a very low effort way of finding what else is editing the weight of gold in TESVEdit, you just open your mod list up in there with this thrown in, find the gold record under weightless gold and see what conflicts with it. ---------- In my case, it was Immersive Jewellery and its patches editing gold weight - for anyone else wondering what a potential cause may be.
well I don't want to waste perk points in pickpocket skill and do not have the right to carry all the gold I conquered because of it, I hope in these 3 years you learned to think a little before typing bullshit.
Thanks, couldn't figure out which mod is giving my gold weight (I don't have perma installed) and this just saved me an hour or two of enabling/disabling every plugin in my load order.
Excellent. Works just fine in Special Edition if you install it manually. I'm all for realism, and I love Immersive Jewelry, but Skyrim just wasn't designed to handle gold with weight.

10,000 gold weight is 100 pounds. Not weightless but it helps
