V2a Released. Tweaked fire again, some place like High Hrothgar and Severin Manor was so bad in previous version.
Version 2 Released.
Tweaked colors to be more similar to the original sweetfx colors again.
Note: Particle setting do eat around 2-3 fps.. if you dont want that drop shift + enter and turn off particle. That is the only thing that really standout fps dropper.. Falkreath area will see a drop as well due to detailed shadow, you can turn off tree shadows setting in skypref.ini
1. This require the latest enb series 0.265. Download from here 2. Unzip that file somewhere.. browse to the wrapper directory. 3. Open skyrim base folder (where your tesv.exe located) 4. From that enb wrapper directory (step 2) .. select everything and copy all (Ctrl A then Ctrl C) 5. Go to skyrim base folder (step 3) .. Paste (Ctrl V) .. while those files still selected, press delete. This ensure all enb files are removed from skyrim. 6. From enb wrapper folder.. copy these 2 files only; d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe into skyrim base folder. 7. Unzip beta enb file somewhere. Select everything and copy all into skyrim base folder. 8. enblocal.ini from this download are set for 1Gb VRam + 8Gb memory. tweak accordingly. 9. set your skyrimpref.ini accordingly, theres a plethora of guide for it. make sure (at the very least) bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 imultisample=0 iMaxAnisotropy=0
Many thanks for -JawZ- for the enbeffect.fx file which make this possible. And works for night eye too (most enb dont work with night eye effect) ..
This enb will stay on beta status untill I can figure out that 1 tiny bug (walk slowly toward any brazier or fire source and you'll see it). That is what holding this release.. Also, the sweetfx setting are tweaked for this enb.. if you for some reason want to remove the enb.. revert to v1.1.
HI im really confused at Rename the file d3d9.dll into Sweet_d3d9.dll but I didnt see any dll file inside your archive do I just edit that line and everything just work or what?
This had to be THE most messed up setup for any SweetFX, ENB or any other mod on this website. I had to track down the right version of ENB, had to backtrack your old mod, to find the link to the right SweetFX basic files in a README file of a manual download RAR pack... then had to do a crapload of tweaking to the ENB locals to run it properly with other tweaks I already have going... the install manual REALLY could use an update. It is horrible T_T...
But I gotta say... after all that work and after trying about 30 different ENBs, shaders and lighting mods before... THIS is the ONLY setup that didnt mess up my game and FPS. Heck, when I turned your setup on, I GAINED about 15 FPS (I dont know why or how), the game was stuttering FAR LESS and runs FAR better now.
This is THE best ENB/SweetFX setup I found on the Nexus, by MILES. Got my vote and endorsment... and I will be sure to tell anyone I know who plays Skyrim about it!
this has to be the most confusing install instructions I have seen. You include a SweetFX folder and a line in ENBLocal to call sweet_d3d9.dll - But you don't provide or say where ot get the sweet_d3d9.dll file (I know it's a renamed sweetfx - but what version??)
This was quite a bit old sweetfx version, you can find it here on Nexus. I havent use the later version as Reshade also includes sweetfx, and I just port it to reshade for my personal use.
I followed your install instructions on a clean Skyrim install.
1. Sweetfx 1.5 Suite 2. Your mod
Load order is correct, ELFX Enhancer is disabled due to ELE incompatibility. I'm not getting the same results as yours. E.g in Dragonsreach, I don't have the big circle of light like your photos. I'm on a laptop so I use the injector, but that shouldn't matter with the d3d9 file being renamed right?
The mod looks so awesome, I really want to try it.. been at this since the whole day yesterday but can't figure it out.
Big Circle of light? at the foot of the stairs? That is probably due to the time of screenshot is taken. Theres also the case of the 1st page screenshot are from the beta enb version.
As for injector vs wrapper version, theorically should be the same, but never tested by me.
Tried it, it works. I've tried almost every possible combo of enb, sweetfx and vanilla, but this is the best so far. I'd endorse it twice if I could. Thanks for this.
Really great preset, Looks great and runs better =D. The additional Enb it comes with is fairly lightweight as well and really makes water and characters nice. (Subsurface Scattering!) I'm currently not using the enb portion due to Particle patch for Enb(of all things) crashing me around whiterun , but I have tested it and have noticed it kinda deadens some of ELFX's nice light sources and makes fog weather disappear when toggled on.Which happens both with Pure Weathers and ELFX Beta Weathers around Falkreath. This could just be a side effect of not having particle patch installed however.
I really like the pics and the idea and getting ready to install the enb+sweet fx+required mods. Ii'm a bit confused about ELe, should i use just the ELE - Interior Lighting or the whole provided package (Interior+ RS Light Color + FX Emittance + Spell and Torch Lighting modules) or some of it. Probably only the interior module is needed, just making sure.
Thank you very much for your effort in achieving a better looking skyrim without the full brant of Enb (oh boy,i tested like 50 Enbs till now and worked on my own one, if i try to use all the effects or most, it's at least 35-40 fps loss for me minimum), and your kindness to share.

Even the beta enb uses the 0.265 version of enb.. and its not confusing at all.
TBH I havent uses sweetfx for the longest time so I really cant tell which version is uptodate sorry.
I didn't notice any installation guide anywhere - what sweetFX version should this preset be used with?
I think you need to convert it to jpg first because nexus refuses bmp.
I followed your install instructions on a clean Skyrim install.

Yeah I was talking about that circle of light.. I'll try the beta ENB latest version.
Thanks a lot.
I'm using your sweetfx+purity+dynavision(patch) also some imaginator tweak and I can say this is way better than any enb and with 0 FPS loss.
Thanks again, this is really underrated come on.

All the best
You can use the interior version only, but the color would be a bit different.
