Changelog: v4 - added options to the FOMOD. Added RiftenWallpaper to the FOMOD. Tweaked the Riften textures for better blending. v3 - Added an all-in-one FOMOD installer. Finally replaced an incorrect texture size (I thought I replaced it before, but I put it in the wrong place). Mini update: new RiftenWallpapers.
For modders inquiring about permissions: You are welcome to use the textures in your free mods with credits. I have been too busy to remake images into higher quality art. You are welcome to make improvements, and I encourage you to do so.
Thanks for checking out my mod and for the kind feedback!
Hey, great job on the mod, but I've ran into a few issues. To start, I've uninstalled everything for the mod (not that it isn't bad--I've just been having sudden crashes after I installed the mod), and yet the textures are still in the game--even though I uninstalled it completely. Any tips/advice/help you can give?
Hi, Crumpets. There are only textures in the mod, either one you choose. If you open your Textures folder follow this path - architecture\farmhouse\ Rename the farmhouse folder to Xfarmhouse something. If you have put the textures in their correct folders the textures should not be loaded. For the larger version, Candy Cane all, do the same. Within the architecture folder, the clutter folder, the dungeons folder and the furniture folder You have to rename all the folders in the named folders above. You can also delete the folders but if you have more mods installed renaming is safer. Tell me how it works.
We assume you got everything fixed. The best thing to do, as fredlaus stated, is look in this download's compressed file (the .7z or .zip file) and see what is included, then look in your Skyrim install directory and find the textures that were not removed.
Thank you both so much for the much needed assistance! I did as both of you instructed and it all worked out in the end. Bless you both! (And seriously, thank you so much! Even if I replied about over 2 months late.) I hope you both are doing well, and again, thank you! Words can not express how thankful I am. Hope you both are having a wonderful day/year so far!
Since skyrim reuses textures in lots of random places, it takes a good bit of testing to see if something looks ok in one spot, but awful in another (like misaligned borders).
I've isolated a few textures I could replace in Whiterun that would give a festive feel without having to recolor everything or use a plugin. However, I can't decide between red or green, or even what shade to choose.
I may share both, and then one day finally get around to tweaking and blending.
Edit: I went with red+white. Let me know what you think.
I have began my huge world christmas mod. It is comprised of 100% modders resources from a great deal of locations on the internet. I plan to make my mod in the spirit of Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas movie. It will have one huge world and 3 small worlds each for 3 different holidays; Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. So far I am in need of a sleigh and reindeer to pull it. I am thinking the sleigh can be a replacer for the carriages, and the deer can be a replacer for the horses pulling it. In addition, I need to start getting permission to use christmas mods not listed as resources. This way I can envelope all the different things in one mod, thus avoiding the need for a million mods to make my mod work. At this moment I have determined I need to use your mod here as it directly affects my christmas theme.
You are welcome to use it. I look forward to seeing your mod. A credit mention or link would be appreciated. I have two world projects (a tropical island, and a candy land) that I never seem to finish. Good luck!
Oh, I should mention, use the farmhouse>woodwall texture from version 2. I did not notice before it was not sized properly. It works in game, but I think it caused an issue last time I used the CK. Use the updated file with a correct size.
