I am sorry but this looks like stolen work from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10740/? I believe it is stolen without given credit and asked for permission to use any part of that mod without consent.
Accusing an author of theft without providing proof is contrary to the TOS. My brief examination of the meshes evidences differences between the two. Aside from visually representing the same historical item. Nexus Rule of Thumb: Mod vigilantes are advised to report violations with attendant proof to staff not post unsubstantiated accusations. If the mod is not to your taste then move along and zip it.
Nope. Everything I made from scratch. They may look the same because they are both based on the same style of sword used by the Romans. This is 100% my work.
and there is no reason to be an ass Aurielius. I was stating that it LOOKED like stolen work cause they both look the same with a slight color modification. And RenderLegion I am sorry but if this is your work then great, but the nif skeleton for the weapon itself matches the one from the mod I stated. Did you use that one as a base model to make this one?
So, if I made a post stating: that your comment was made by a complete idiot, without knowing anything about you or your intent. Would that be fair and kind of me. I think you would agree, no. Get it now. As a modder myself, I am getting tired of seeing unfounded accusations polluting a modders comments. You should apologize to the author, instead of lashing out at Aurielius.
Edit: Nice sword RenderLegion. Will be using eventually. Too busy modding at the moment. Looking forward to any future mods.
When making the .nif file I duplicated the vanilla imperialsword.nif. I then changed the strings and removed everything except for the BS fade node. Then I copied across all the meshes from an exported .nif file and inserted the extra data (BSInvMarker BSXFlags... ). So no, I did not use the files from the mod you mentioned. Perhaps I used the same method that the author of the other mod did.
You apparantly can't read jayr848, I did apologize to the auther. And RenderLegion I saw what you did there with the .nif I just tested it myself and saw the method on how you did it.
It is you that can't read. RenderLegion stated he made everything from scratch, but you still questioned that answer in your so called apology. Anyways, not going to go on about this. Maybe next time you won't use the word stolen and maybe just ask if the author used someone elses mesh. I am not trying to be an a**hole, but you obviously have never uploaded a mod or you would understand that it is not nice to be accused of thievery.
Edit: I apologize, RenderLegion, for all my extra posts.
I agree with emperorwolf imo it could be a bit longer not by much but just a bit cos it feels like a dagger right now and swings like one too, a slowed down slighty longer blade would be 10/10 for me
its not fully realistic i was this close to downloading this mod for the sword being that its my favorite could you add a slightly longer blade because gladius are 2 1/2 or 21 to 23 inch long almost 2 feet. long and on the screen it looks like a foot its not realistic.
Yeah alright, I'll do that next. I'm also going to make another Gladius. One that's a bit more fancy that you might expect a general or someone of a high rank to have.
Nice model RL well worth using, thanks for the work invested and for sharing. I was a tad busy modding but took time out to do more than check your meshes. I look forward to future submissions.Endorsed.
I just have to say for those interested that the mods Jaysus Swords and Emperor's Will also contain roman style weapons and armor if you are interested. Also, check out Immersive Armour mod and Complete Imperial Kit mod if you are looking for roman style weapons and armour. Immersive Weapons is also super awesome.
